Nah the smaller individual one.

Didn't even bother finishing it. It was properly rubbish. The pastry was ok but the meat was just junk.
funny cos the big one we had last week and thought it was ok

Maybe I just had a bad one. I doubt I will buy another one to find out though.

Like I say I am generally pleased with the (not inconsiderable!) amount of food I buy from there.

Anyone had the "Ready, Set, Cook" meal kits? £3.99 for a 2 serving pack of casserole, stroganof, stir fry etc with the meat, veg and sauces included in the pack? The casseroles look ok for slow cookering.
I have had the stir fry one, with a cheapo pack of noodles. Annoyingly I find there to be about 1.5 portions. Certainly not enough for 2 anyway.
Added some hot sauce to the mix and found it nice.

Not tried the others!

Yeah, there's too little veg in them. I went through a phase of having them last year and always added two tubs of Aldi's stiry-fry veg (the hot one and the edamame one are both nice) and a sachet of their wok-ready noodles, to feed two of us.

Do did the food shopping...

And now the proud owner of the some lounge pants, a saute pan, a wok and two different sized milk pans (Being small I figured they heat quick so would be useful for warming up small soups and stuff, and making small portions of custard). rotate

Done it wrong. You need THREE milk pans. So that one can be too big, and one can be too small, and one can be just right.

You're stuck now. You'll have to go back.

Stranger still - doesn't Aldi sell custard? Can you not just cook it in the tin? nuts

Tinned custard is for smearing on your neighbour's wife, not for general consumption.

I’m becoming quite dispondent with Lidl and Aldi. Today, with approx 18 items left to scan, I was asked “are you paying cash or card”.
Since I actually had some cash I really wouldn’t know, did I have enough? Maybe I’d pay by card and give the cash to the kids.

So I paid with both Just to be awkward.

Also today, another supercar spotted.

Is that the worst parking ever - or a special end space?

Some would say that is a sportscar not a supercar!

Nothing exciting seen in my Aldi's carpark so far though.

It’s one of two vertical spaces. Frequented by ‘sports car’ owners. I think they made it especially. I’ve posted pics before of my TVR next to an old Lotus, Astons, et al also frequent.

Interesting debate. At one time (showing my age) I’m sure 356bhp would put it in to supercar realms. Especially for a hybrid. However perhaps today you need 500bhp+ ? Hypercar 1000bhp?

Aldi banana and strawberry smoothie is perfectly acceptable.

The melt in the middle fishcakes are good too.

Whilst I usually prefer to shop in Aldi, their Low Fat Cottage Cheese (left) is quite acidic, not the creamy richness of Lidl Low Fat Cottage Cheese (right).

You probably don’t want to know what I’m eating it with then. Tomorrow I will review Lidl, Aldi and Co-Op Celery... frown
