Had the Piri Piri marinade/dipping/cooking sauce out of there yesterday. Medium. It's excellent.

I can feel the heart burn coming but very tasty. Also the spice rum at £9.99, nice kick, no hangover unlike Morgan’s that leaves me with a migraine

Two Grande Alberone red wines they stock have turned into firm favourites, buy them regularly. 7.99, 15% alcohol, full bodied, jammy and full of fruit flavours. Highly recommend.

Tried the Chicken and Mango flatbread pizza Saturday night. It’s ok for the £1.69 but won’t buy again.

Do any of your lady friends use the Lidl/Aldi sanitary/beauty/hair products etc? I find the own brand tampax are great value but the cardboard insertion tubes a bit pinchy at times.

Also have just purchased an Aldi hairspray that’s packaged like Elnett but probably a fifth of the price. I suffer migraines from certain aerosols but this seems good so far, a little stick but I sculpt my hair at the front (sort of 40/50s style) so it works for me.

On the food front have some Buttermilk Chicken Burgers (frozen section 2 for £1.99) for later. Not true them yet as never seen before, there’s also a Southern Fried variety.

Just heading out to grab some salad and alcohol, dress down day today.

My white bits are interesting wink

Happy Bank Holiday.

Nice white bits.
To be fair around here there are some right monsters. Usually you smell them before seeing them tho so there is that

Anyone who hasn’t yet been to get the bread rolls for this afternoon’s BBQ has missed the boat, I fear.

Something of a looting mentality, albeit with polite queuing and paying, at my fairly posh Aldi this morning at 10:00 am sharp.

Glen Marnoch (Limited Release(??)) Speyside whisky.

Tasty. And only £17. Similar to Jura Superstition (£35!) but a bit smoother?

Must admit, getting brassed off with the Lidl bakery unable to keep up with Scottish morning roll purchases looting.

Never had a problem with baps.

Though someone’s going to be sorely disappointed #size matters.

In this sunny weather I have been enjoying the Lidl Radler at 59p for a large can (2.5% ABV).

Quite liking Aldi's Medusa ale. Probably more a spring/autumn/winter ale, though. https://www.aldi.co.uk/medusa-ruby-red-ale/p/07181...

I tried a can of that back in the 80s. I still can't get the horrid taste out of my mouth.

Where did you buy it? Lidl?

Yes. Bought a few this weekend. £2.49 for 4 I think it was. Treading carefully I only bought 12...But next time I'm in I'll be wiping them out.

Very nice.

A new Aldi opens tomorrow (Bedford north) biggrin ( that's now my closest, and near my gym)
I'll be picking up some of this recommended 1079 project lager as well as their gin ..the Oliver Cromwell at £14.19/litre. Their tonic water is good too. I expect to be a more frequent contributor to this thread as I'll be trying lots of their stuff smile
