will have to try this 1079 lager!

Other half has all sorts of gins but tend to drink aldi's own most of the time with their cheap bottled slimline and whatever fruit/berries are in the super six, its the only time she ever takes the cheapest option so it must be good!

Do any of your lady friends use the Lidl/Aldi sanitary/beauty/hair products etc?
Lidl 'Cien' dry shampoo is Batiste with a different smell. The can and formulation are identical.

I can't remember if it's aldi or lidl, but one of their own brand jobs wins all sorts of blind taste tests.

Yes. Bought a few this weekend. £2.49 for 4 I think it was. Treading carefully I only bought 12...But next time I'm in I'll be wiping them out.

Very nice.
Yes I’m goin for another raid tomorrow.
I think someone’s snook down in the night and drank them.

Like the lemonade advert
That 1079 is really nice and goes down a bit too well

Got a few things for a bbq at the weekend, the specially selected burgers were good as were the chicken and chorizo kebabs. The jerk chicken steaks on the other hand were st and went in the bin.

First BBQ of the season - any suggestions for good red/white wine from Aldi?

Food is sorted as we have a good butcher/wholesaler up the road, but I've not drunk for a little while and I don't want to give guests the £3.19 bottle I'd normally buy!

Looking at £5-7ish per bottle range ideally.

At this time of year, we get through a lot of their provence rose. It's very very good (closest we've had to our favourite Minuty) Scarily drinkable and at 13% can catch up on you after a bottle or two

Aldi's Australian Riesling is getting good reviews from all the newspaper wine pundits. My wife and daughter both really liked it too; I didn't think it was too bad but found it slightly too 'lemony' . I seem to be in a naysayer group of one though. It's certainly a refreshing wine!

Aldi used to have a really nice Côtes De Provence rosé too - but it has been missing from the shelves of my local store for the last ten days (no gap - just seems to be gone)

We've switched to this too. Makes life much easier and you get the wine you want!

And in much larger quantities than you could be bothered lugging out of the store.

The 5.99/6.29 Argentinian Malbec goes really well with anything BBQ'd just need an hour to breathe first.

Thanks for the replies. My youngest lad uses dry shampoo for his hippy surfer dude hair (that’s longer than mine) I’ll give that a try I think.

Eldest son and his friend have been trying to get me in to a skin care routine by using some of the abnormal beauty company stuff. I’m not really one for caring!

May 18th Aldi will become the first supermarket to sell Halloumi Fries. This is fab news for my household at the moment since I have two Vegetarians. (I might be partia to these too).
