Thanks - will try it. Is it a honey beer or just has a honey taste? I normally find beers brewed with honey to be too sweet.
It is a bit sweet, but lovely in this warm weather.

A very nice, refreshing white wine, quite unusually lemony but very satisfying is the Picpoul de Pinet. £6.29.

The mrs brought some "Specially Selected" sausages home a bit back. They were absolutely bloody revolting - greasy, gristly, rancid tasting pieces of misery. Even worse than Asda's efforts.

Based on that experience Aldi meat products can jog right on.
I tend to avoid most meat special buys, thy tend to be cheap with flavours added in to make them stand out.

Disappointingly the specially selected ready meals in the wooden box have reduced in range, shame as we really enjoyed the macaroni which has now gone.

Specially selected dry age sirloin from Aldi (the one in the black packet), absolutely lovely. Loads of marbling, decent cap of fat on the side and melted in the mouth. As good as anything I've had from the local butcher or farm shop.

Dunno to be honest, think the steak itself was £6 or so but when I'm in Aldi/Lidl I give it the old billy big bks and don't bother looking at the prices whistle

LOLd at that. I’m sure he means the cow he garrotted hung and quartered was worth the effort after man made fire from stick and stone.

That’s how woman does it anyway.

Yep - I wish they'd bring over more consignments of German beers, even just as short, one-offs, not necessarily permanent lines. They had Berliner Kindl a couple of years ago, which was lovely.
