As much as I like Aldi they do only concentrate on the most popular cuts. Morrisons are sometimes cheaper but more importantly have a much wider range. Yesterdays shop required 3 stores, Morrisons for meat, Sainsburys for a couple of specifics and the rest from Aldi.

Mrs21 really loves shopping with me biggrin

I know there's nothing particularly complex about your sentence, but I'm struggling a bit (so humour me).

You bought frozen bread and broccoli?

Amazing, I'll be getting some of those! I've had the frozen ones from Tesco which are pretty good.

Some other contributors to this thread said that their branches had a similar product in the frozen section, but we never got them!
These have a separator between each pattie, so if they're nice I'll grab a couple more packs and freeze them.

I posted a reply to this earlier, iirc, but it's disappeared, so maybe I do not recall correctly.

Bought some of these yesterday and did a homespun Maccy D reconstruction attempt today using supplies mostly from Aldi/Lidl.

In short, not as good as Maccy D offering, though daughter approved as a) runny egg big improvement, and b) she prefers sausage* with less seasoning, and I thought these were a bit bland.

The construction consisted of Scottish morning roll (L), sausage patty (A), fried egg (L), slice Monterey Jack cheese (L), hash brown (McCain)

Opinion divided in family, daughter would buy again, I wouldn't.

Though we both prefer sausage patties made from local butcher sausage links, skinned and suitably shaped.

No pics, sorry, runny egg yolk down tie disaster is NSFW.

Thanks for the review; they certainly do look very plain.

I'll be sure to season them well!

As an aside. A Aldi has recently opened near my gaff (quaff) and I have to say their 'specialty' steak is excellent. I've had a few attempts across all the cuts and none have been anything other than excellent. Compared to my normal Sainsbury's taste the difference the flavour, let alone price, is staggering.

Another stunning fillet steak had this evening - this time not the most expensive, but the 28 day matured at £4.49.
Absolutely delicious - couldn;t tell the difference between the 2 days that the more expensive one had.

Footl long sausage sliced up on an omelette today night with cheese & tomato, it’s too hot to eat “proper” meals at the moment, I think this week’s food bill will be about ten quid smile

These are in the new/offers part of the chillers in Aldi today. One to avoid; really grim seasoning taste.
