Similarly the chocolate coated macamadamia nuts Aldi were selling last year.

Had my first taste of the dark chocolate lebkuchen, and the chocolate stollen bites last night.

Lebkuchen - very nice, and will buy some again. But not in the same league as.....

Chocolate stollen bites.
First one I had : That was quite nice
Second one (at work this morning) : That was nicer than I remember last night
Third one (at work this morning) : WHY DID I ONLY BRING TWO OF THESE TO WORK???????????

There is definitely some relative of crack cocaine in these things.......

I've not really been enjoying my job lately. I'm considering handing in my notice next week, buying all the Aldi stock and becoming a dealer. Based on my personal experience, first three stollen bites free as an introductory offer - and then a very reasonable £5 per gram.....

It's no secret that Aldi love ripping off brands. I've just seen their new Christmas ad, which is obviously a Coca-Cola rip-off/ 'inspired' I'm sure they'd protest. A 'holidays are coming' tune, with a very CC looking Christmas lorry, but Kevin the carrot as the theme!

I bet CC's lawyers ears are twitching!

We saw it earlier too. It’s a Coca Cola truck / Italian Job hybrid mash-up.

Did an ALDI run earlier, ostensibly for some steak for tonight. £115 later I have a trolley of chocolate Stollen bites, salted caramel mince pies, a car battery trickle charger (for an unbelievable £12.99) and a selection of beers and wines, these amongst them:

You can be sure that Aldi's lawyers are sitting back with their hands behind their heads and wearing 'Bring It' t-shirts, prior to all marketing and packaging reaching the public.

Tried an Amarone from Waitrose for twenty queen heads last night. Nice enough as to expected of such an appellation, but Aldi's offering last year for £13 was better. More variety of flavours.

Both came from the same region, but different producers.

Oh Aldi. You've let me down.

After a long run of faultless steaks I just had the most useless bit of dead animal I've ever seen on a plate.

28 day sandwich steaks, tough as old boots. My world is collapsing around me.

Local butcher usually has better steaks and at a similar price.
