Obviously these are small bottles (averaging £2 per bottle) but looks like fun. Last year’s sold out very quickly.

Local butcher usually has better steaks and at a similar price.
They do, but they aren't open at 6pm on a Saturday, and as above I have never had a bad steak from Aldi, until yesterday. I never have any luck with thin cut steaks from anywhere, usually would have been better repairing my walking boots with them. Probably my fault.

Popped in to try and get one of these, they can’t have had more than 10 and they weren’t out on the floor, missed the last one Obviously these are small bottles (averaging £2 per bottle) but looks like fun. Last year’s sold out very quickly.
Did manage to get some chocolate covered stollen and some grande alberone Zinfandel though

Super sacrilege yesterday, one of the aged thick rump steaks ended up sliced into a beef vegetable stir fry. Excellent, though.

If I'd known how bad this was I would have put it in a stew or a curry. I suppose I could have done that anyway rather than throwing it out but the red mist had already descended.I never have any luck with thin cut steaks from anywhere, usually would have been better repairing my walking boots with them. At the price it is for really good beef you can use it for other stuff. I ate a chunk of it raw as a kind of impromptu carpaccio the other day.

Only time I've been in and one of these "special" deals have any stock left and I don't want it. Typical.

On the subject of Tesco, since they stopped putting best by dates on certain fresh produce the amount of stuff we've noticed that is clearly a bit iffy has increased. Ok take the dates off if you want, but you have then to be more rigorous on stock control. Maybe it's our store that's just a bit (lot) rubbish.
i always used to buy these 'BBQ' ribs that take 40min to cook in the oven, they've got smoky bbq and sweet bbq flavours. they also had a chili and pepper one that was basically a spice rub instead of a sauce.
wtf has happened to that? I am not a fan of the sauce versions, much prefer the spice mix you put on it. kinda sad really. ASDA do the same 'bbq' ribs but again.. only the ones that come with a sauce and not the spice mix.

Are you talking about the frying steaks? I used to get those but the last 2 I had were so tough that I’ve given up now. I used to make wraps or stir fry’s with them but the last wraps I made were thrown away as my jaw ached from how chewy they were. Shame. The ones in Tesco are ok and similarly priced if you want an alternative.
Yes they're the ones. I've had them before and they have been good but these were awful. Thanks for the Tesco tip. SmoothCriminal said:

We had the Baroni Bruni Chianti Classico with dinner. It’s good - very drinkable.
Err. Yeah. I will never understand Apple images

I must be wired wrong.
Had those chocolate covered stollen bites and I'm just not a fan.
Fair play to those who ate a whole packet tho.
