JUST DON'T BUY ANY OF ALDI FRUIT.
At a guess, it is days old when they put it on the shelf.
We get fresher fruit coming back to the Morissons recycle centre for disposal (compactor)
Fruit that's days old before you buy it, quelle horreur!
"We get fresher fruit coming back to the Morissons recycle centre..."

An employee of a Bradford based chain store makes important statement about very successful competitor.

Guaranteed no COI, so it must be true.
Ah, give him a break.

I think, what he's actually saying, is that his employer has such an atrocious social and environmental conscience, that it is shipping fruit from around the world and then crushing it, when it's still perfectly edible.

I thought the same but it's Tuesday, I don't do 'bhy' on a Tuesday.

Oh, you should! It's marvellous!

As 'bhy' ends in a 'y', it should work on any day that ends in a 'y' too!

I popped into to Aldi this afternoon and they had loads of Crofton ' oven to tableware' le creusot type stuff going for a cash donation of £2 each item to TCT ( I'm assuming that's the Teenage Cancer Trust as there wasn't anything else to suggest what the acronymn stood for).
I've not seen this type of Crofton stuff on sale before, so suspect that Aldi HO dumped a load of it at my local store and were selling it through, albeit cash donations to the TCT charity.
I think that's really good smile and bought a square roaster that I didn't need.

Tried the Rossini beer tonight, I haven't spotted it before so bought a bottle. Was very refreshing, not the most complex beer but went with food very well, it was quite carbonated but I'd still recommend. Will be stocking up when needed between Torp deliveries.

I tried two different Aldi biltongs recently and thought them both inedible.

Any LIDL goers know when the currywursts are back in?

Usually done under Alpine Week (for some reason) IIRC.

I tend to find that biltong is never as good as I hope it's going to be.

I’ve been trying the ‘craft’ beer in cans. The Redwell was alright but the Ghost Dance was rank. To be honest I’m going to stick to the bottles of Wainwright’s for £1.29, it’s £1.50 in Tesco.
