Well, I got over myself (and the 'greyness') and just had Aldi's Perfect Burger (the one with added bone marrow).

Absolutely wonderful flavour! Highly recommended. (And a significant discount over the M&S product)

If you can get to your local Aldi quick they are reducing all their beef rib joints by 50%
Still full price in our local one. Tesco though had them at £6.50 a kilo so picked up a nice 2 rib joint which I'll split down into two and freeze.

And anyone getting all uptight about loss of retail jobs, despite claims that as a nation we struggle to find folks employ, should take a look at Ocado's new distribution centre model. Goods picked by robots from storage, transported to a packing station. Only people involved is the individual told by the computer to scan it and which bag to pack it in plus the van driver who delivers it.

Just another example of technology replacing boots on the floor. Personal experience of a steel rolling mill which at one not that far back in time had near 300 people per shift, now has 8, who produce far more.
Do you mean claims that as a nation we struggle to find folks TO employ?

Like these claims:

"The UK employment rate was estimated at 76.1 percent, higher than for a year earlier (75.4 percent) and the joint-highest figure on record." (between December 2018 and February 2019)

Why would you disagree?

Just been down to Aldi, loaded up on 36 day aged steak, and a packet of these.

Oh. My. God. They *are* biscuit crack, and should be made illegal.

Going back down to Aldi first thing tomorrow to buy their remaining stock, as a civic service to prevent innocent members of the public falling victim to these hideously addictive creations. God forbid somebody else has the same idea, and there happen to be dangerously pointy / sharp Workzone aisle-of-dreams items in close proximity. I would go back now, but there's steak to be eaten.

Ditto. Left a few packets in store as I don't want to be the one to make some poor soul desperate for an Apple Pie Cookie fix go cold turkey.

Best before 29-03-2020. Ha! - they'll be lucky to make it as far a Sunday morning.

I think there are some serious mental health issues going on here.

You lot need to have a word with yourselves.

This post-Easter half-price purchase from Tuesday afternoon had nothing to do with me. No idea how the photo even got into this post.

This is the sort of behaviour that gets generations of families ostracised from villages in Switzerland.

This thread is very testing at times. Managed to get through Christmas without a single packet of stollen, amazingly, torture, very close to breaking at times.

As with the yellow label bargains at an unsuspecting M&S food hall, the only rule is leave a pack of each so that the more sloth like shoppers realise they need to pull their socks up next time if they want more biggrin
