I picked up a bottle of the Grande Alberone Zinfandel. It best be good! I’m at least expecting a cracking hangover Saturday.
I only managed a large glass. My word this is delicious. V8mate said:

The Lidl app is somewhat temperamental, I've had it refuse to load my 'card' onto the screen whilst I'm at the till. It doesn't help you can only get a signal when at the front of the store.
Isn't that a signal issue over app issue?Next time see if there is wifi available at the start of the shop.
In other news had the beef slices from Aldi, they are the best I've had. Also had some sfc style chicken burgers, they were very nice.

100% definitely NOT a signal issue for me. That’s a feeble excuse for what’s clearly their tech issue. Next time see if there is wifi available at the start of the shop.
Absolute con having customers spend and not receive the offered discounts (I had other valid coupons too). I regret having not left my shop at the till unpaid for to be honest.

All that anger over a fiver?
Not just the fiver (I won’t be the only one so that’s probably a few hundred/thousand fivers) It’s the principal, the customer service, the almost false advertising, the time I took out of my day to go to Lidl and select shopping that didn’t contain alcohol... do you get that? Ref the LidlPlus app. I have missed/lost one 'shop' since it started (it was quite low value so not worth fussing over).
A few times it has taken 20-30 minutes to register the bill (after I am home), usually on a Saturday when I presume the server is busy.
As long as the QR code scan has 'pinged' it's done.

Well from my experience I've never had any issues with app,. I'm sure if it is that bad you can just choose to go elsewhere. Gassing Station | Food, Drink & Restaurants | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
