I picked up a bottle of the Grande Alberone Zinfandel. It best be good! I’m at least expecting a cracking hangover Saturday.
I only managed a large glass. My word this is delicious.

Goes well with cheese or nibbles of some sorts. At 15% it needs food as an accompaniment.

Currently drinking this from aldi, £5.99. Not bad. something i will put in my rotation. I might give the cheaper version a go for comparison

Had a glass of this last night, it's not bad at all. Will definitely finish the bottle tonight

Lidl 'Harvest Basket' triple-cooked chips in beef dripping.

Perhaps these have been raved about before, if not they deserve to be.

A symphony of flavour and texture, these are truly delicious.

No it’s in the coupon section, shame it’s not able to be used against alcohol

Ok. It's not a universal offer.

I had this in an email. Updated the app. Spent £30 (no alcohol or baby milk) activated voucher. They couldn’t scan it for some reason. Asked me to pay in full and phone customer service which I did and they initially were helpful. Then has an email saying it was my connection! It wasn’t. I had full connection and the voucher was activated? I emailed back and reply was that I still had another week to use it. Rude. I’m refusing to shop there at the moment.

The Lidl app is somewhat temperamental, I've had it refuse to load my 'card' onto the screen whilst I'm at the till. It doesn't help you can only get a signal when at the front of the store.

Isn't that a signal issue over app issue?

Next time see if there is wifi available at the start of the shop.

In other news had the beef slices from Aldi, they are the best I've had. Also had some sfc style chicken burgers, they were very nice.

100% definitely NOT a signal issue for me. That’s a feeble excuse for what’s clearly their tech issue.

Absolute con having customers spend and not receive the offered discounts (I had other valid coupons too). I regret having not left my shop at the till unpaid for to be honest.

Not just the fiver (I won’t be the only one so that’s probably a few hundred/thousand fivers) It’s the principal, the customer service, the almost false advertising, the time I took out of my day to go to Lidl and select shopping that didn’t contain alcohol... do you get that?

Ref the LidlPlus app. I have missed/lost one 'shop' since it started (it was quite low value so not worth fussing over).

A few times it has taken 20-30 minutes to register the bill (after I am home), usually on a Saturday when I presume the server is busy.

As long as the QR code scan has 'pinged' it's done.

Well from my experience I've never had any issues with app,. I'm sure if it is that bad you can just choose to go elsewhere.
