Whats it called/look like? I'll see if my personal shopper (Mrs21) can find it on her next outing.
Will get a photo for you later

Lots of Douro at Ashbourne last week, the boggo Primitivo seems to have disappeared though, not seen Unicorn for an age. Stock lines do seem cyclical in nature at Aldi/Lidl, the phrase Postcode lottery also comes to mind.
I know different stores get stocked by different supply warehouses. Ashbourne is certainly the nicer store in the area.

Bought this in Aldi a couple of weeks ago as a left choice....

Wow, it’s lovely, floral but light given its 13%, nice summer aperitif before a BBQ... £6.99 a bottle, recommended. thumbup

On the basis of one bottle tried, I’ve purchased a further two ‘for stock’... laugh
Further more it made Saturday Kitchen this morning.... laugh

Christ, they’ve changed it from what it was before then laugh I’m sure it was called Caruso or something like that before.

Parents live in Hognaston so it’s nice to do a shop when over that way. Saying that we only live Belper way.

It’s just a shame they’ve turned the Waitrose into a Poundstretcher!

I think that’s the one with the red label that looks like Estralla, Carullo

Picked up a bottle. In the interests of science back to back/parallel tasting with the "real thing".

The Aldi one seems less "hoppy", prefer the original (which as already pointed out is cheaper anyway!)

And even cheaper by the case in small tins.

Worth a punt, still nice but only as a backup.

Just had the 'Specially Selected' Wild Garlic Chicken Kievs. Really nice. Milder than normal Kievs.

After deciding I need to cut down the Rheinbacher 0% seemed like a good starting point. Thoroughly enjoyed it tbh and will definitely be a regular buy

I tried this for the first time at the weekend but found it very sweet.

Gave this a go at the weekend...

I think the best I can say about it was that it's non-offensive.

That's the problem with it... very bland.

My local Lidl has had very depleted wine shelves for the last week or so. Big empty spaces with no sign of anything to fill them up again so far.

Is it just my local or has anyone else noticed this ?

Finally manage to buy that Steinháuser bottled beer.

For £4 for 6x330ml bottles it's not bad. it does remind me of stella.. a little bit of Eku. I really do wish it was stronger (maybe 6%) to have a fuller flavour. but it's still perfectly fine.

Has anyone tried the '8-1 Multi-Wrench' out? I'm curious on its ruggedness, I'd probably only use the 17mm and 19mm socket/s, given the price I expect it's fairly low quality.

Whilst we're talking booze, this does a pretty good impression of Jack Daniels. Not the price though, £12. Will buy again lick
