ALDI & LIDL Food and Drink Worth Trying?

both iceland and asda have frozen 'hot and spicy' wings. they're preatty nice and only need throwing in the oven. pretty much taste just like the hot & spicy wings you get at the hot food counter.
I recently watched a video comparing various wing cooking methods. the one that suprised me (and the cooks) the most was microwaving some wings in a bowl of water for 5min, then throwing it under the grill in the oven to crisp up. can be done in as little as 15minutes. microwaving will cook the rings and render out the fat (which'll seep into the water).
Lidl have the hot and spicy ones in the same bags as the rotisserie ones but I usually prefer to use my own sauces on the rotisserie ones as I find the pre spiced ones usually a bit harsh tasting. I use my top oven without fan to cook wings, I find it crisps them up a treat, just have to keep an eye on them towards the end as they can crisp up too much and go dry within the space of 2 mins

First time I have remembered to check this thread for a wine recommendation whilst in Aldi, purchased it to go with some steak this evening! In a rather indulgent Friday we'll be having Steak with the Excellent Lobster and Crayfish Mac n Cheese! I am prepping myself already!Truckosaurus said:
I notice from the latest Lidl leaflet that one of the 'Asia Week' (from Thurs 3rd) item is 'Wasabi ice cream'.
This could either be the best or the worst pudding ever, worth a punt at 1.99 to find out.
One of my revelatory discoveries of recent times is balsamic vinegar on vanilla ice cream so I’ll certainly give that a chance. This could either be the best or the worst pudding ever, worth a punt at 1.99 to find out.
a little disappointed that this year we haven't had the triple layer burger buns (for doing a big mac-style burger) yet. Iceland used to do them too. would've liked to give them a whirl. also, I think its been over a year since those soft-serve scotch eggs frrom ALDI...not seem them back yet.

hot weather...what's meant to be the aldi copycat of corona extra, is it carista? can't seem to find it on their website but I will check tomorrow. can anyone vouch on how good it is? or an alternative (minus rheinbacher, which i always get)
Is it even cheaper? I find things like this to be pretty poor value if you look around for a deal on the brand. Toaster Pilot said:

It's probably already been mentioned, but Aldi sticky toffee pudding is incredible. As good as anything you'll get in a decent restaurant.
Seconded.Awesome with Ice cream.
I've always found Aldi a bit lacking in the pudding department - but this one is great (in the chilled cabinet - not frozen)
