I brought a 1 litre can/stein of Paulaner Oktoberfest beer back from Munich last year and bloody hell it was nice, and strong, it left me wondering why the you can't get the Munich breweries beers in this country, apart from maybe Lowenbrau.
There's a boozer in Manchester that does Paulaner on draft, it's very good! I've been on the 5l kegs of Warsteiner from Costco lately. Unfortunately once you crack it open you have to sup the full keg before it goes flat!I can recommend 'Mariana Trench' brewed by Weird Beard brewing co. More pale ale than lager I suppose but when it's this good...!

Love Warsteiner, but prefer this stuff. Not always available near here, could buy crates in a drive-thru off-license in Ontario so will be moving there forthwith:
This was on draught in my local when I was a kid. We called it Laughinbrew. Hit you in a way no other beer did! Not seen the blue and white chequered flag for a while in a pub but when I do I have one.Gassing Station | Food, Drink & Restaurants | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
