This should have almost been in Dirty Takeaways the state both us and the table (and the floor, and the wall) were in after demolishing this! It's my birthday today so treated myself to Snow Crab clusters to make seafood boil with;

Crab was surprisingly good value, comes cooked and frozen from source (Alaskan); they are a foot long though the leg sections are fairly flat, a hell of a lot more meat came out of them than we were expecting. Anything you can't snap in your hands cuts easy with scissors.

1kg crab (we got 3 sets of legs in the Kg for about £16, 4 legs and pincer on each)
1kg prawns (I bought argie wild prawns as they were half price of Scottish langoustines, 25-30 per kg size)
Corn cobs, Potatoes, Lemons
Smoked sausage (tried to get the proper Polish stuff, but had to get Mattesons in the end frown)
Mustard seeds, coriander seeds, pepper corns and bay leaves tied in a cloth; cayenne, smoked paprika and celery salt in the water

Perfect on all accounts! It looks wonderful. However, I have to say your portion sizes are a little small for my liking biggrin

I know someone that eats those bones...except maybe a few shards. It might be normal, but to me he looked mental.

Thanks Pete. You've made me doubt whether it was the roe or the liver. It was "fishy" and a little bitter but I couldn't resist being cheffy.
