Slow-roasted duck legs with a port and orange glaze and potato wedges. There was enough glaze left to coat the wedges too - it burnt down nicely to form a sweet and very sticky film on everything lick

Don't listen to them breakfast for dinner is amazing. One of the best dinners I ever had consisted of blueberry pancakes and beer biggrin

Salmon & scallops on saffron asparagus risotto.

That looks amazing. Do you have the receipt for the risotto please? Salmon and scallops just in the pan to cook through?

Shrimp Buzara - tried it in Croatia and has become a bi-weekly staple now, dead easy and gorgeous with crusty bread.

Fry off finely diced onion and 2 cloves of garlic until soft
Make up a pan of chicken stock and keep on the hob, add some saffron
Pre-cook asparagus heads and and peas
Arborio rice into onion / garlic / olive oil, cook off for a few minutes
Add large glass of white wine
Gradually add stock, keep stirring all the time
When rice is nearly cooked, add asparagus / peas
Grate in a load of parmesan and add some butter

Fry off salmon / scallops.

That's about it.

Gently fry finely chopped garlic & onion in butter until soft
Add white wine, salt, black pepper and reduce
add tomato puree and veg/chicken stock
In a separate pan fry off the king prawns in butter until coloured (shells on)
Add to the mixture, cover add parsley and breadcrumbs to thicken and simmer for 20 mins

Serve with buttered crusty bread and lots of finger bowls and napkins/kitchen towel (it's messy finger food)

Enjoy! biggrin

you do need to leave them in long enough for the shells to flavour the sauce though.

Finally got to Flat Iron last night after wanting to for some time. We were not disappointed.

Flat Iron steak, salad, dripping chips, aubergine, spinach.
