Bought a pair of briskets at the farm shop this morning. Coated in dijon and rubbed up:

On they go... with some bone-in chicken breasts and sausages for an early lunch (and to moisturise the briskets beneath)

And now for dinner, fk the salad, I'm having just beef, glorious beef.

This was meant to be sort of nicoise, but couldn't get tuna so went for swordfish instead.

Poached duck egg - the yolk was ok but the white was nasty.

3/10

I don't have much of an appetite in this heat but there was some nice lamb in the butchers today so made a little salad with cannon of lamb in spinach and serrano ham.

Why? Was it grim? It looks lovely but that may just be the melted cheese which ALWAYS looks on the money!

Chicken jalfrezi with freshly home made raita, masala pooris (the bready things on the side plate), gajar matar (fried and cooked carrot, onion, peas and spices), carrot pickle and spicy baked cauliflower rice.

I have to say, with some smugness, it was fkin epic! biggrin

That looks very good. One thing I hate about takeaway or bought curries is how much oil they have but yours shows how unnecessary it is. I'm not keen on rice but I think I'll have a go at he cauliflower rice - looks very light.

Might sound like an odd question, but where did you get the idea for lamb, spinach and serrano?
