laugh Cheers for the concern laugh

I was filling the blender from an urn at an event in a hall and I slipped on the slippery lino floor. Most of the blenders contents went on my head whilst the urn poured a little bit on my stomach! Luckily my mate saw it happening and managed to switch the urn off pretty sharpish otherwise it could have been a lot worse!

I can't see certain people now without having the piss ripped out of me laugh

I once spilled an entire blenders worth of boiling water on my forehead and stomach whilst making hot chocolate. Excruciating is the word.
Must be bloody hilarious watching you cook, do you work in a circus? biggrin

First time doing a beef Wellington. Managed to get 1.9KG of fillet from the butcher for £50, it's done this dinner, lunch today and I've set aside 6 portions of steak!

Followed Gordon Ramsay's recipe, was easy if time consuming. Don't know if I'd do it for 2 again, just scale it up for not much more time, but more could enjoy it.

Okay it was technically a takeaway so I will add it to that thread.

Dirty but dinner my take on the Scottish classic pie in a roll. No rolls so used bread.

My mum used to whack a few Bells (I think) pies in the oven and then shout and ask if we wanted chips and beans or a piece. Simpler times cloud9

No need to for the apology, I can see why it might seem a bit out of place when all you have to do is look at it rather than taste it.

I could have popped in some Echiré butter to get extra likes, photogenic wise, but lets face it, could you actually taste the difference when there is st hot chili peppers and dried tarragon and garlic? No. No. No chance in hell could you spot whether that was the worlds best butter churned by a Virgin on the south facing slopes of the Swiss alpes in late May when the meadow flowers add to the flavour via the cows 7 stomachs. Or Stork.

Maybe I just popped it in there to make you think about the difference between looking at food and how posh it looks and tasting or smelling it and seeing how good it is?

wink
