Hate Miller and Carter with a passion and avoided it for ages

Misses wanted to "give it a try again"

So went the other evening, this is what I was served.

Never again.

they seem to have managed to craft a brand image of a decent, classy place but i'm not sure how they've managed it as it's ultimately it's a toby carvery.

What was it?

Edit:

on closer inspection it looks like skin, fat and semi cooked chicken?

Very easy. Most of the large supermarkets here sell pork products.

Waitrose, Spinney, Choithrams, etc.

It was supposed to be Buttermilk boneless roast chicken.

I think they forgot the roasting part.

That's crispy skin and slimey semi cooked chicken.

Yes I did chop it up to see how bad it actually was.

Unfortunately not before I had given the misses a taste and as she hasn't got a tummy hardened by day old donner kebabs after a night on the booze like me she was sick for a few days after so defo never again.

Didn't pay, they didn't seem remotely interested in the state of it but then again service is normally st in there so I expected nothing less.

When you work 60+ hours a week on nights, you don't always have full cognitive functions, it was a cut I've not heard before.

I'd be doing more than not paying, I'd be emailing that to their customer services and asking why their staff feel it is okay to be serving seriously undercooked chicken. If its as pink as it looks on my screen and I'm right in thinking those are tendons in a joint in the top right corner then that's a serious problem.

If that got brushed off then I'd have no hesitation in emailing to the local Environmental Health.

Looks like a nice bit of meat, good marbling. Maybe from the shoulder? Bet it wasn't bad.

I've read about buttermilk chicken at other places. Some say it's pink because of the buttermilk and all is good. I think I'll have to try it to make my mind up.
