Cheers thumbup

The mash was quite buttery and bit garlicy too.

Green things had butter added... and then excess pie gravy poured over.

Bread and butter always with pie, always.
Oh yes :dribble: bounce

Its only the presentation of the head that will bother some. I bet that chicken was very tasty.
She did say it tasted good after she got over the head looking at her.
She thinks this was beef with chilli

WTF, that is disgusting.

I can assure you its not! Steamed chicken (served cold), tastes fantastic, succulent and juicy. The Chinese prepare many outstanding meat and poultry dishes. However, they tend to leave parts of the animal still attached which may seem odd to a westerner.
Had that in South Korea when I first went their for a 10 week induction/indoctrination trip - looks horrible but as you say it’s delicious ........ the live sea squirt on the other hand vomit
I’m in China often. I don’t dig the food at all. The poor beggars who host me always try to impress me with authentic cuisine and it’s bloody expensive but I just have a mental issue with pork and poultry from that country. The English translation on some dishes if amusing. Pig hands with rice = trotters. Lol

or so that they actually know what animal it is they're about to eat.

Anyway..... eek

Braised ox cheek, mustard mash, vichyssoise carrot, buttered swede, savoy cabbage with parsnip crisps.

Add in a couple of bottles of red, apple crumble and custard and its time for a sleep!

Isn't the comb something that the Chinese would eat?

don't google 'gutter oil' as a means of cooking in China!

that's why alot of restaurants that do the chinese hotpot will bring oil to the table in sealed packages and cut it open infront of the customer.

Burgers tonight.

Local form shop was selling burger mince, they had messed about with some ratios for better consistency. Worked well, made the sauce from Jamie Oliver's Insanity Burger recipe too.

Severed with gherkins, red onion and melted Red Leicester. Messy but so good!
