Fair enough, that risotto on page 1 this thread, showed it to the dog who, if he could talk, might have said, " taking photos of my puke to show the vet again are we?"
I just had a look, you're right, that looked like an after photo of CSV biggrin
hehe Don't even go there. hurl

Burgers tonight.

Local form shop was selling burger mince, they had messed about with some ratios for better consistency. Worked well, made the sauce from Jamie Oliver's Insanity Burger recipe too.

Severed with gherkins, red onion and melted Red Leicester. Messy but so good!

Chicken marinated in Beetroot (don't ask me, I only bought it), and Cauliflour Cheese.

Bet you can't guess which day we had it.

It was a weekday, obviously, hence the 0.0 beer biggrin

Yes. Yes. Yes.
Lovely shots there for a burger beer

Dropped point for using Red Leicester cheese ... why use that??? Indeed why use any cheese and also the peppers? Just put the meat on the bread and let it do the talking as the juice run down.

Some sheeeet my wife left me in the fridge. She keeps doing this. She buys all this cheap healthy stuff and then goes out and buys tasty stuff whilst I feel obliged to eat it up rather than throw it away.

If I was a TV presenter from the 80s I would say thank heavens for little girls, however, 9th May 2018 I say thank you to condiments to pep it up.

The usual colourful meal for me.
How long for the silly comments ?
See how mine looks better with the addition of a few condiments, and one of mine even had a reduced price tag on it!!! Must try harder dear chap, yours looks like a billboard outside Little Chef circa 1978. And that is a comment from me who does unspeakable things to Fray Bentos pies and yorkshire puddings. At least make your photo's look better, you still seem to be sending them down to Bonus Print.

At the end of the day it adds nothing new to the dinner thread. We have all cooked lots of meals that have no redeeming features apart from Bob Geldof will not be doing a concert for you due to calorific intake that night by you.

Just for some insperation, a chilli flake ice cream I made yesterday, took less than a minute to make. Now given the viewers will they prefer my unusual icecreams or your plate????

Just a simple ice cream, with a twist. Your plate of pasta has no twist. That's the problem. Apart from all that twisty pasta of course, that is very twisty smile

No other reason that I like red leicester, plus they had some in the shop. No peppers used, just red onion, gherkin and thin cut beef toms. The sauce had lettuce in too.

They were as big/tall as I would go with a burger. The trend of these tall ones packed with all sorts of fried bits of stuff just look unfeasible to eat... to me anyway.

Why put any cheese on a burger!?
Umm... because it makes it so much better

Tonight I did chicken chow mein.

I really enjoy the preparation of the veg and stuff, such nice colours and that.

For pud I did a mixed berry (raspberry, blueberry and blackberry) fool.

It didn't look as appetising as the picture in the recipe book, but despite looking like a freshly plucked brain of something or other it tasted great! biggrin

Mrs9 and I fancied a snack so we got the wok and veg oil out and deep fried some halloumi with smoked paprika, salt and pepper!

Well spotted.

And you're both correct. No noodles, low carb.
It was filling enough without them so didn't feel that it lacked anything.

That's fair enough, I often will have stir fried veg, without noodles or rice.

Questioning the lack of noodles and calling it chow mein, where "chow mein" is essentially a translation of "stir fried noodles", well it was probably the cookie version of the PH spelling and grammar police. Apologies for any nits picked.

Just back from a few days working in Malta.... had some amazing seafood.

Braised octopus... Sea Bream and a Maltese sausage pasta dish.

Red Snapper (near) Sea Bass (far) Ricotta ravioli.

All seriously tasty.

Its not chow mein. In the same way if I make a chicken pie with no chicken in it, it is not a chicken pie.
