I’ve always wondered how awkward those zoom tastings are? I’d find it incredibly cringeworthy but fascinating at the same time!Did Richard have anything interesting to say?
The zoom ones are a bit irritating and you end up getting distracted by other peoples' gopping faces and minging decor

I’ve a bottle of Diplomatico Ambassador coming on Saturday. Will report back. Been a Ron Zacapa fan for a bit but had a few vouchers to use so thought I’d try something a bit more pricey.
I quite like Diplomatico, have always had there Reserva & Reserva Exclusiva's in the collection, also have the 2000, 2002, 2004 & 2005 SBV's which are all lovely. Not tried the Ambassador. The Ambassador is quite a different taste to Ron Z. It is nice, but possibly not moorish. Just as well for the price. 47% made for a sluggish start the next day!
I was getting sick of Zacapa XO; any suggestions on what else to try? I liked the Negra so about the new limited series?

Anyone tried Equiano yet?
I had a sample the other day and have mixed feelings. Great flavour but felt quite oily in the mouth
I had a bottle at the start of the year and have bought another. I enjoyed the flavour which started quite light but finished with a bit of spice. I didn’t notice it feeling oily but everyone (and probably every batch?) is different.I had a sample the other day and have mixed feelings. Great flavour but felt quite oily in the mouth
I sipped it or had in a dark and stormy and thought it worked well both ways.
A pair of recent arrivals, this must be the 4th bottle of the S&C I've bought in recent months, I'm fairly new to rum but really rate this stuff.
The Worthy Park I have to admit buying based on a Ralfy review on one of his non-Scotch days...I'm trusting his judgement on this as it was more whisky money than rum, for a tightwad like me anyway...

I've had two bottles of Equiano. It's alright I think. Reminds me of the classic MG XO, in that it's eminently suppable. Not remarkable, but good quality. It's right up my street tbh - I'm really not keen on most sweetened rums.
DittoI sip unsweetened and unfiltered where possible!
I have since bought a bottle and enjoyed it, I still think it’s more of a marketing point rather than a revolution but I like the sentiment.
