If you're in manc, I'd recommend almost famous or solita for burgers.

Any recommendations? I'm meeting a mate for beers next Saturday afternoon and fancy trying somewhere new.

Luck lust liquor burn?

Owned by the same people.

I haven't had a bad meal at either. The burritos are amazing at LLLB, as were the fish tacos (although sadly they'd stopped doing them last time I went)

Having tried FG for the first time today, pretty disappointed

Shake Shack knocks it out the park for the same price
Probably would have preferred a BK for 1/3rd the price

Burger was OK, skin on chips? and watery milkshake

No thanks!

Tried it last weekend. Big poster on the wall saying the best burger you've ever had.

It was basically a couple of flat, uninspiring McDs patties in a burger.

The chips were decent enough, though, with the skin on. The lettuce was crisp, I suppose.

Nice to be able to put whatever toppings you want I suppose but you could have got the same for less in McD's if all you want is similar to a McD's.

Put it this way, as a taste test, I went into Wetherspoon's and ordered a burger the next day. That was much better and you get a pint of real ale.

And the staff aren't miserable.

Yup, well Sliders technically, but you get the gist. At the side is a pot of radioactive 'cheese' that you pour over the top and let it cascade down.

thereby making it impossible to eat with fingers without getting them covered in scolding hot cheese ?

talk about style over substance - just make a good burger and stick it/them on a plate FFS
