5 guys in Luxembourg is always stupidly busy. It's about €15 for a buger meal! fk. that.

BK a few doors down is MUCH better - and cheaper!
Woah! BK in Luxembourg? When I lived there we have to get a train to Trier if we wanted to go to Burger King. If you missed the ridiculously early last train home it was a very expensive burger!
...
laugh
Ah, yes - I used to blat to Trier in my car at lunchtimes (from Bertrange), quick BK and back to work in <1.5h!

I've pretty much done the rounds with west coast fast food...

Wendy's burgers are good, their fries are excellent, In n out burgers are great, but i dont really like the fries, the best stuff is on the secret menu (animal style all the way).

Carls Jr are kind of greasy, Jack in the box have some really nice burgers...the croissant-wich is an interesting and tasty experience.

Shake shack is really nice, but way overpriced in the UK. IHOP and Denny's burgers aren't bad at all, but it's more about their breakfasts.

As a teenager I was a HUGE A&W fan, but i haven't been back to canada or anywhere in the states with a local one for a good 15 years or so.

All down to personal taste i guess...I do wish we had more chain fast food in the UK though, choices are so limited here compared to the US.
IHOP?! vomit

do like a jack in the box and wendys. chic a fil is immense too.

has anyone tried white castle, i've never dared as didn't want to ruin holiday's. are the rumors true?

I sought out a White Castle while I was in Manhattan once, after having watched the Harold & Kumar film a few years before, and wondering what the fuss was about. Nothing particularly memorable, other than their burgers are tiny sliders, so you need at least four of them to equate to a burger anywhere else. Luckily that is how they sell them, in multi-deals. I believe they are steamed rather than grilled.

These places are all ridiculous, £15 and I’m still hungry
Expensive, yes, but Five Guys gives you a massive amount of chips. Shocked if you're still hungry afterwards!

I spend a lot of time in the states on the west coast, and have decided that In-N-Out wins for beef burgers, and Chick-fil-A is amazing for the chicken side of things.

Been searching in the UK for an equivalent, with 5Guys just not doing it, nor anywhere else. I work in London and somehow had missed Shake Shack off my search - no idea how.

Went last week, and wow, incredible, up there with In-N-Out which is such a relief, the chicken burger is pretty good too. Mansion House by St Paul's is very close to my office so could be dangerous.

In short, anyone who hasn't tried a shake shake should give it a go, it's great IMHO

My wife had fond memories of White Castle from when she lived in NY in the 90s, so we went to one in Vegas last year. I didn't feel inclined to order anything at all but she had two, IIRC. She doesn't like the onions so they scraped those off. She disliked it, so I tried it and disliked it too (don't think the onions would add much; you could still taste them anyway despite the whole bed of them being taken off). It had a sort of plastic cheap taste like 1970s frozen burgers served as school dinner. I will not be going back. My wife's fond memories have been shattered, but she does appreciate how drunk she must have been to have enjoyed them when she was younger laugh

never dared enter the one on fremont street, not just becasue its on Fremont street, and no doubt full of 'interesting' characters - Stomach troubles are the last thing wanted on a Vegas bender!

Sitting outside the Golden Nugget, having a beer while watching one tramp pour a clearly purlioned bottle of Remy Martin into the mouth of another until it came out of his nose, going to White Castle was a pleasant respite laugh

I went to the Mansion House one on Friday last week. I like Shake Shack but it does seem expensive for what you get.

7Bone is still my fave. I love their burgers and then to top it off the wings side is awesome with the blue cheese sauce.

Still not tired a 5 guys and I really must try a Meat n liquor or what ever it's called.

I thought Shake Shack was ok but nothing special, and expensive in the UK.

A&W for who ever mentioned it is still good, not sure I prefer it to Wendy's though - although A&W do some really cheap deals.

I had a The Works burger here in TO a couple of weeks a go which was ok but not as good as I expected.

I haven't had a Five Guys here yet.

My favorite burger remains Diablo Burger in Flagstaff, AZ

For anyone around the Chichester, West Sussex area I highly recommend The Pass. Feed in Portsmouth is good too.

I haven't been to a Bacoa for too long, and I doubt I will be back in Barcelona any time soon. Those are good burgers.

My other two favorites are from Le Cabine in Val D'Isere and Burgermeister in Berlin.

7bone's halloumi burger. Very very tasty!

Apparently Meat Mission in London is very good.

It really doesn't. In and out burger is like eating a fresh mcdonalds. Very average.
Agreed, none of these chains make a decent burger. If you're looking for a good one and are ever in Dallas, TX. Check out Angry Dog in Deep Ellum. That's a good burger.
Went to angry dog a couple of nights ago.

I had the Nates burger and it was very, very, very average. Disappointed overall. Others in party weren't that impressed with their food either.

However the fries were ok, and the bar staff were pretty friendly and helpful, massive beer selection too.

I would go again to drink but the food was nothing special at all...walking to Deep Ellum from dowtown was also fairly sketchy.

If you want a good breakfast in downtown dallas head to Ellen's...best eggs benny I've ever had, and brilliant service.

That's unfortunate. They're usually very good. Try Liberty burger, there's a few locations around DFW.
The old monk in East Dallas is also pretty good for burgers and drinks.

If you passed the greyhound bus station from the west end to deep ellum, you might think that you're walking through the walking dead set.

Had my first taste of Five Guys yesterday in Portsmouth,
Have to say, enjoyed it, but not the bill!
Two Burgers, tow shakes, shared a portion of fries, £32.00!!

Would go back, but not a regular visit for me.

Coming to the buzzing metropolis that is Worcester apparently. Opening up in a unit that was going to be a Byron Burger but never happened. Can't see it lasting once the novelty has worn off but who knows, not really sure exactly how many burger places and coffee shops we need!
