I tend to prefer my meat less well cooked than others - but sometimes oddly I fancy doing it just a bit longer.

I do enjoy a burnt to fk Ribeye, the only cut I'll ever order burnt. Because all that fat and marbling crisp up wondefully!

I've just left the professional kitchen but we used to have small hotpit in my last kitchen with super hot coals, we'd cook steak directly on the coals, no grills, no pans just coals. I urge any of you to try it!

My daughter (who is 7), lives on steak. She can't get enough of it but the quality of meat in the supermarkets isn't always great.

I think i'll give the ones from LIDL a go and see how they get on.

Salad = 2 leaves of romaine, 3 sugarsnap peas and half a tomato? OK

And potatoes.
And a nice looking piece of Sirloin.

And Mustard.

Looks like "Sirloin Salad" to me. And a very nice one as well.

In my experience, they're inconsistent. The ones we cooked up last night were not as nice as the ones a couple of nights back.

This is the steak thread, I'm disappointed anything else is on the plate!

Just buy a bigger steak and only have that. It's what I do on steak night.

God that top fillet pic reminds of Australia many, many years ago. Never ever had steaks like it since. Drool..

maybe the colour but that looks quite fresh, an aged steak is more dull and glassy, i think that is why some of the rare steaks posted, look unappetising.
