They're great.

This is very true Two things to bear in mind though:
- You WILL drink more beer
- You will feel bottles/cans are a poor second if you ever have to resort to buying them again
My local offy is stocking the proper brewed in Spain San Miguel and the Tesco cans of Peroni are the only things I will drink other than PD now. I love the Stella and have always loved Lowenbrau, so it's good to be able to get that on tap
I still use mine, especially now the selection is getting wider. Looking forward to the uplcomg Mikkeller kegs.
It's worth noting that the new 'Perfectdraft Pro' is about to be released, but not in time for Christmas. It has a variable temperature control, an app and potentially faster cooling, but otherwise looks very similar.
The downside with the new one is that it doesn't appear to be made by Philips, and their aftersales service has been great on the current model (refurbishing out of warranty machines for about £40 including shipping to them and back).

I really like mine but proved to be a very expensive hobby. I just get kegs in every now and again now. You sometimes have to be quick off the mark on the Beerhawk website to grab some of the more interesting beers as they sell out. Returning the kegs is no issue, just leave them outside and a Yodeller collects them.
ETA make sure you join the Perfect Draft Keg Tips group on FB for 15% off 3 or more kegs. Add this on the £5 per keg you get for returns and the cost is slightly more reasonable.

Perfect Draft Pro you say ?
Yep, here it is:https://www.saveur-biere.com/en/beer-dispensers/42...
It’s not yet fully available over here, but the initial reviews say that it’s noisier than the old one, and too big to fit on a kitchen countertop with wall units above!

While I don't think the noise is too bad (it sat in my open-plan living room for years), it's definitely one of the things I would be trying to improve if I was Philips/whoever.https://www.saveur-biere.com/en/beer-dispensers/42...

Actually, I might see about swapping the fan out for a better one, just to see if it makes any difference.

Philips aren't involved with the manufacture of the new one apparently. I agree on the noise of the current machine, not bad, but I'd like to see it get quieter rather than noisier!Actually, I might see about swapping the fan out for a better one, just to see if it makes any difference.

I haven't had mine plugged in since the electricity rate increases - for the sake of a couple of weeks worth of beer, it isn't worth it for me personally.
I might get a keg around Dec for some Christmas beers though, we'll see!
In the winter at least that doesn’t make a lot of sense, it heats your house!I might get a keg around Dec for some Christmas beers though, we'll see!
I bought 6 kegs of the Spaten and Lowenbrau Oktoberfest, will work my way through them when I've finished with the beer I have for my sub machine. Perfectdraft and my Blade machine are both off at the minute.

I got rid of mine early this year and since they have released a lot of my favourite beers!
Ghost Ship the latest.
£36.50 is a bit steep, considering you can still get the standalone 5L kegs of it for as low as £15 sometimes, from the supermarket or Home Bargains.Ghost Ship the latest.
