We popped into Hotel Choclate retail outlet in Gloucester this week. Boxes of 60 pods to suit Nespresso were £5.98. Got 4 varieties and very nice. We switched to Lidl pods a long time ago. I think you like the coffee you get used to….or maybe that’s just me.
you sure?? £0.10 a pod sounds very very cheap.... showing as £19.95 on their site!
They were selling them for that price at my local Hotel Choclate factory outlet as short dated stock.

I bought a couple of packs, but frankly didn’t think the taste was great and they didn’t work particularly well in my machine either.
I know it's all personal taste but I found two to be undrinkable and the other non-decaf to be barely. Additionally (and looking at reviews it's a known issue) my Inissia did not like the pods with the result I got short cups and water in the catcher.

Early doors for us but I will monitor it as I haven’t made my own drink for four days! With the exception of a GnT I’m currently knocking back.

I just came here to post the same thing; I've ordered 240 pods for £40, so 16.6p a pod which is really good value (compared to 39p for Nespresso). I just wish I could convince my wife to convert.
Price reduced again. Ordered 360 and so far so good. I didn’t realise they were made by Nestle in Switzerland.

I’ve run out of the cheap Starbucks pods so went back temporarily to the Nespresso pods I used to enjoy, but my tastes must have changed and I just don’t like them anymore.

I’m patiently waiting on Discount Dragon to get them back in, but in the meantime I bought some of these at 89p for 10 pods. I hadn't heard of the brand but they apparently quite big on the continent -

Anyone have recent experience of the Nespresso repair service and turnaround time?

Machine has just gone "pop" at the start of a cleaning cycle (started as it is leaking a lot) and now will not turn on. Change to a different wall socket and swap of mains plug fuse has made no difference.

Account is in my wife's name and so the Nespresso support desk (politely) told me to get lost. I suspect that the machine is out of warranty and their flat repair charge of £70 is the same as getting a new machine delivered tomorrow from Jeffy Bezos.

There's a number of Youtube videos on repairing this type of fault which seem to focus on a thermal fuse blowing & it's a nightmare to disassemble the machine to get to it. I've taken to buying working machines from Gumtree for £10 or £20, stockpiling them & just binning the dead one. Eventually all the original pod machines wil be gone & Nespreso will manage to force everyone on to the Vertuo range where they control the pods.

Showing my lack of knowledge on this subject, I should have included that this is a Vertuo Plus machine. It was a gift at least two Christmases ago, so I am pretty sure is out of warranty. Suspect that it will be best to get a new machine and use this one as a "project".

Yes, not on a 'real' hardware failure but the seal on the bottom of the water tank - it was leaking. Classic well out of warranty but they still sent me a replacement for free. See how it goes with your wife talking to them - though if out of warranty and they want a minimum of £70 then a new one may be worth it, or a £1 purchase with a 12 month subscription (credits last 12 months from purchase of each credit, so if you drink a cup a day you should be able to use the cost up in 12-18 of the 23 months - note the non-purchase sub gets you 10% discount).

I'll give them a try as I'm nearly out of Starbucks pods.

I ended up buying 200 of the Joe and Juice pods (for free postage) and I wasn’t that impressed unfortunately - maybe it’s the type I bought but they taste a bit harsh. I will probably have to get used to them as there hasn't been any Starbucks offers for a while!

I'm wary of any pods that says dark roast as I think they just taste burnt so I've ordered the two lighter roasts in the hope of avoiding that. I'l report back.

Sadly I can report that the Joe & The Juice Melrose Bean & South Beach Blend pods are very average & I won't be buying them again, especially now the price has gone up by 50%.

Thanks for the update; I was almost tempted to try another blend but saw the price increase so gave it a miss. Will try and track down some cheap Starbucks house blend from Amazon/Ebay as Discount Dragon haven’t had them for ages,

My classic Nespresso machine has started leaking badly so I want a new one but cant seem to find any other than the verso types, trouble is you have to buy the pods from them at 50p a pop rather than Aldi at 10 - 20p.

Anyone tried the Dolce machines and coffee? I dont like being held to ransom by Nespresso

L'Or make their own machines now.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/BARISTA-Sublime-Philips-L...

They take standard Nespresso capsules, but also their own XXL capsules which make what I consider a full coffee, rather than using 2 Nespresso capsules.
