Yeah, despite Nescafe's proclamations on quality there seems to be a bit of variability in the packing of pods.

Have discovered the best nespresso compatible pods yet.
Starbucks are pretty good and usually on a deal in Tesco but the best yet are Carte Noire Absolut 13 ...anyone else tried them ?

I've now ran out (well down to my last 10 box) of capsules and I'm wondering whether to buy another machine and Aeroccino to get the free pod offer again, selling my year old inissia and Aero 3. Is it worth it for a new machine? Should be able to get a deal around £100 and the used machines should go for £50 so just wondered if it was worth the hassle.

I did it last year, Sold the new machine and got what I paid once the offer had run out. So basically £75 of pods for free less ebay fees on the machine sale.

Anyone tried the new variations yet? Have some Snowball and Orange on order (passed on the licorice). Could well be rank but was intrigued.

I'm gonna have £150 worth of credit in a few days.

I've never tried any pods before. Can anyone give me a run down on how they would spend it if it was them? I appreciate everyone has different tastes.

Or am I better off hitting up a boutique and trying some there first?

Depends on how you like your coffee. I personally don’t usually order anything less than a 10 rating for everyday brews. You can get a lovely espresso from those or top up with hot water/push the button twice for a decently strong mug full. If you’re got £150 you may as well get a selection pack so you can try everything. Wasn’t blown away by those Barrista pods, were nothing special IMO.

I've done this before, but not sure if I can be bothered. Listing on eBay is such a chore...

Definitely get a selection pack and see what you like. "Roma" is my standard coffee, but everyone is different.

I assume that £150 is to be used £25 at a time? Be careful of delivery charges on those orders - better off ordering for collection at a boutique if you can.

Now tried the orange and snowball variations and they were very nice indeed. Might have some more of those before they disappear.

Thanks all... good advice. I have a boutique on my commute to work so no problem collecting them.

I work next to a Tefal warehouse, they've recently had a clearance sale (which was open to the public) and picked up a brand new Pixie with Aeroccino3 and 61 sampler packs of pods. That's 976 pods !!!!! All for £75 - Bargain wink

They had loads of other Nespresso and Dolce Gusto machines, fryers, irons etc and apparently they have these sales a couple of times a year. They advertise them on Facebook if anyone's interested.

Off topic but, if you haven't already, get a steam generator iron. It'll revolutionise your life!

(or, you know, make ironing a lot easier)
