Nespresso owners - Get in Here!!!!!
Discussion
I don't know if it's already been discussed on here but double walled glasses really enhance the Nespresso experience. And if you swill them out with boiling water prior to making your drink even better. I always found the drinks were never quite hot enough or cooled too quickly so I didn't really savour them with regular Latte glasses or mugs. I really like the Bodem ones but they are a tad fragile.
When I moved house, I found my 100 or so capsules that I’ve had sitting around (still in date).
Must say, that I’ve switched back to using a bean2cup machine and am enjoying it much more than nespresso. I’ve always found the capsules too strong and have a rubbery smell, even when made precisely to their sizes.
Not helpful on a thread for nespresso enthusiasts, but between the taste and their environmental impact (I do use the recycle bins at the boutiques), I am not convinced to buy any more after I use up my current batch.

There are a couple of people on this thread that have bought the Sage Creatista Plus. After a few months of use how are you finding it? I am looking to change my Lattissima in the near future.
Best thing I’ve ever bought, different class from any other the other machines and I’ve had a few now.DoctorX said:
Anyone tried the Costa Rica limited edition? I can’t see why these are worth 75p each, there’s nothing special about them. Quite like the Istanbul pods though.
Managed to drop into a Nespresso store in Krakow the other day and try one, it was actually very nice. Worth the premium? I'm not sure.I'm about to do my first big order having almost finished off the free mix of pods we had with the machine, so will probably add some to the basket and try a few more cups.
Does anyone here have the Nespresso Lattissima Touch? Just got one and the instructions aren't straight forwards!
I need to know how to make it do a normal coffee, not an espresso/latte/cappuccino, that's all the instructions seem to mention.
Also, and recommendations on non-genuine capsules worth trying?

To make a black coffee you use the top 2 buttons, the left one is 40ml the other is 110 just hold it down to fill a cup to the desired amount
When you press and hold it, it will store the amount so you can use the same cup every time.
To program the rest, they are 2 stage, so you press the button and hold it. It then will despense the milk or cofeee, then let go and then quickly press and hold it again and it will dispense the milk of coffee.
Try it with water in the milk bit to get what you want

The packs say how much water they recommend for the pods and I always found it best not to vary much from that. If you want a longer/weaker drink you're better adding boiling/hot water than running more through the pod.
Exactly this, certain pods taste terrible when they are used on the biggest lungo setting. On a similar topic, I got some of the 'Alto' pods with my last Vertuo order, which are about 420ml, so a decent sized mug..
I've had a couple and to be honest it tastes like they haven't increased the 'concentration' of the pod to match the extra water, like it just seems like how a normal 230ml pod would taste if you were add ~200ml of extra water after making it.. slightly disappointing.

Has anyone tried the new 3 flavours made to be drunk with milk?
Yes, there are 3. The lightest of the 3 is the best coffee Nespresso have released in my opinion.I'm a fan of light roasts, and good independent roasters and coffee shops seem to agree. Has Bean, Pact, Neighbourhgood all seem to roast consistantly light.
I've always said Nespresso is good for a nice 'instant' coffee, and better than Starbucks, Costa etc - but if you got it in a good coffee shop you'd be disappointed. The new light roast is the first time I've tasted a Nespresso where I'd be happy to pay £3 for a latte of.
