Some advice please.
I have a Nespresso Creatista. I've had it nine months now.
It's cleaned every two weeks however I have not yet done a descale.
How often do I realistically need to descale it? Do I need to buy the official descaler or will any liquid stuff do the job?
I'll add I rarely have milk drinks and probably only have two espresso coffees a week.
Yes any descaler will work, and if you’re not using milk much then it might not need doing for a year or so, make sure you follow the process exactly or it won’t register it and you’ll have to do it again like I did I have a Nespresso Creatista. I've had it nine months now.

Had my Citiz for 9 months. Cleaned weekly and a good flush with hot water every few days.I have a Nespresso Creatista. I've had it nine months now.

Did my first descale as a christmas present to the machine. The resulting liquid looked identical to when it went in so not sure how much effect it made
Edit:
Just in case it hasnt been spotted on the website they are phasing out the Dharkan Intenso. Cant be ordered from website but the boutiques have stock. Shame as this is my favourite

Hi Guys, we got one of the Citiz for Christmas. Nice looking machine but only the GF really drinks the stuff, I have the occasional Mocha out of the work vending machine (better than you might think).
Disappointed that there appear to be no mocha options for the Nespresso classic. Are there any recommended ways to make one or has anyone managed to find good 3rd party pods?
Also are the Aldi coffee pods the best compatibles or do people rate any others?

Mocha side I can't answer as I only drink my coffee black and as a result do not have one of the milk devices.Disappointed that there appear to be no mocha options for the Nespresso classic. Are there any recommended ways to make one or has anyone managed to find good 3rd party pods?

On the Aldi pods. As some one who considers most Aldi products seriously over rated I have to admit, having tried them at a friends, they are actually rather decent. Not the best non-OEM, and personally I have not tried a 3rd party pod I prefer over the Nespresso ones, however the Aldi pod was very drinkable and apparently often reduced - think my friend was able to find 2 for the price of 1 offers, meaning around 5p per pod (!!!) (compared to about 25-40p per pod including Nespresso ones).

I have also found the ASDA own pods pretty good, I drink full cups of coffee so get the Lungo pods, they are £1.50 for 10 pods but they are often of BOGOF etc.
Thanks guys will swing by Aldi and next time at Asda see what they haveandrewparker said:

Yodel wkers......launched my parcel over the fence......
using the cheapest thinnest unprotected cardboard box available....
Mine have always been in a strong cardboard box and wrapped in a sealed plastic envelope. I wonder if they left it on your door step (this is Yodel after all) and some one else picked it up, removed the wrapping, discovered it was not something worth them nicking, then throwing it over your fence.using the cheapest thinnest unprotected cardboard box available....

Pods USED to be wrapped in a sealed plastic bag, in the box as shown...
Then they dropped the bag and just used gossamer thin heat shrink...
THIS delivery didnt even have that, so was just basic cardboard.
Ran out of pods so got some Starbucks ones from the supermarket. Didn’t realise they were made by the same people, same pods, packaging etc. Not quite as nice but not bad.
Those new 13 strength Napoli pods are certainly different. Taste a bit like that strong Turkish coffee but without the sugar.

I still think someone looked to nick what was on the inside. I last had a Nespresso delivery about 4 weeks back and the outer plastic coating was the same as when I got my first machine 3 years ago.Pods USED to be wrapped in a sealed plastic bag, in the box as shown...

I got a couple of packs of those out of interest as I like stronger brews. They're OK but I think I still prefer the Arpeggio. Also I see that as well as the "Ispirazione Firenze Arpeggio Decaffeinato" the older "Arpeggio Decaffeinato" are orderable again but only as a 200-pack - is there any difference between the two or is it just branding bks?

Instant capsules do not compare to freshly ground beans brewed in a cafetiere. You may aswell buy the cheapest freeze dried shi1te if you're not going to make proper stuff.
Having tried all kinds of coffee over the years, what you say is complete and utter bks. I’m currently away from home and using a caffetiere to make Blue Mountain from Jamaica, which costs me $40 per bag, but when I am home in the UK I drink Nespresso, and it’s bloody good coffee.Dermot O'Logical said:
Cafetiere? Peasant. You need to try an Aeropress.
Aeropress only allows the noveau riche to show off. Landed Gentry keep stuff until it breaks and my cafetiere is older than I am. No need to spend the family fortune on tat when I have a perfectly serviceable item here, thanks.Olas said:
