Instant capsules do not compare to freshly ground beans brewed in a cafetiere. You may aswell buy the cheapest freeze dried shi1te if you're not going to make proper stuff.
Oh do fk off fella. And -Cafetiere makes watery and thin coffee regardless of the beans used in my experience.
I have a Nespresso machine too but I always buy original Nespresso capsules in Tesco...
I know they are quite pricey but I was too lazy to find the analogs.
Just googled and found the pods from Starbucks on Amazon. Now I want to try them, lol.
Has anyone tried to use Nespresso compatible capsules? Which one has the same (or almost the same) taste as original pods? I'm now thinking about ordering Don Francisco which cost less than Nespresso pods...

That's quite expensive, normally £3 or £3.25 for 10 in Tesco and Sainsburys and regularly on offer for £2.50, so I stock up then.I know they are quite pricey but I was too lazy to find the analogs.

Makes me laugh, if you go to a Sainsburys with a Starbucks in it, you can buy them for £2.50 from the Sainsbury's or Starbucks are selling them for £5 for exactly the same thing.

If you have a Lattissima Touch, and the descaling button lights up orange even though you have just finished a descaling program, we recommend you to re-programme the water hardness setting on the machine. If the machine is incorrectly adjusted to the water hardness, the milk frother will not work optimally.
Have you both set your water hardness properly?Bought these from Amazon last week and the coffee drinkers in the house say they're 90% as good as the Nespresso original pods. £8.89 for 100 pods. They have plastic bodies and a foil base as well as the top. The first 30 or so have worked just fine.

Those new 13 strength Napoli pods are certainly different. Taste a bit like that strong Turkish coffee but without the sugar.
I got a couple of packs of those out of interest as I like stronger brews. They're OK but I think I still prefer the Arpeggio.I recently saw some CaffePod Intense 9 pods on offer for £2 a pack and thought I'd try them - and they are pretty good.

- Purge the EMPTY milk frother three times
- Perform a factory reset
- With milk in the frother container, run the latte (top right) option and see if milk emerges
- Then extract the water descaling attachment and insert. Press bottom right button.
If milk doesn't come out in the first test, but water emerges from the second, the milk frother is fked and a new one is required for £25, which isn't too bad.

Anyone else having a issue with a lattisma touch machine
It hardly froths the milk anymore, i descaled it about a week ago and then it was working again fine, but now it’s hardly frothed and comes out more like slightly foamed
Really annoying, any ideas

The injector piece (for want of a better word; the bit of the frother that actually plugs into the machine) has a spring-loaded ball and a tiny exit hole. This can get clogged or scaled up. Even a small bit of schmoo will stop the frother working properly.
Try using the bristles of a stiff dish washing brush or something to poke it clean. This part isn't in the machine when you do a descale so it won't get cleaned any more than the normal post-coffee rinse cycle manages.
You can buy these as replacement parts and apparently this can fix things. Mine has always gone back to working after a proper clean so I've never needed to.
Similarly, the main top part of the frother doesn't get descaled and it's worth soaking it in some dilute citric acid and forcing water through all the pipes and outlets with the tap.
Edit: Fix quote

These are really helpful tips. Just a update I called Nespresso and they went though the process to see if the milk frother was broken, which is was
Sending me a free replacement in the post in 1/2 days. As the machine is less than 2 years old
Can’t argue with that, great customer service and a really friendly guy too.

Bought a Krups Essenza mini last weekend for £45 from Currys and took advantage of the offer that's running atm where you get 100 capsules and £25 credit when you send in the receipt, emailed Nestle the receipt Wednesday Evening and the capsules arrived on Friday.

Quite impressed with the machine though it makes a lot of noise when it's pushing the steam through the capsule (not sure if that's normal).
