Guys the fkers at Nespresso are changing my beloved Vivalto Lungho so i want to buy 500 or so BUT I am loath to without an offer or machine incentive, lookin g at the Nespresso site there is unusually nothing apart from subscription which as they are changing the pod I cannot do - anyone a code / ideas please.
Can get you 10% off pods if that helps?

What is it they are changing? Funnily enough this was one of my favourites from the tester pack received with my machine.

As an update for everyone else, my machine was replaced and I no longer able any issues with loading pods so must have just been unlucky.

Re the Vivalto Lungo, I don't drink a lot of them but it's one I keep around so I'd also be interested to know what's happening to it.

If anyone likes the Starbucks pods Sainsbury's have the new 40 pod packs on offer for £9, or 22.5p per pod.

Have a read of the some of the past Vertuo reviews on here and I think your initial foundings are correct (especially against good coffee from a filter machine) I think you'd need at least 2 capsules per cup to match the strength which starts to get comparatively expensive...
2 capsules just gives you twice as much coffee.

Let's hope so. The lungo's have been so far very uninspiring.

I guess two capsules brewed shorter than normal was the implication...

If I’m feeling flush I’ll do that, only taking about 9ml of coffee from each pod, does make a nice coffee!

I’m not convinced that that’s much of a strategy, or that virtuo pods really work like that?

I don’t have a Vertuo machine but strength being the coffee to water ratio seems fairly fundamental.

It seems like a consistent product over the course of its length to me.
Perhaps it isn’t, in which case perhaps buying an Alto and running it short is the solution?

It’s gone, goodbye Vivalto Lungho it was a blast. Probably need to try other machines / coffee types now as well. Crappy day.

Has it not just been renamed?
Fortissimo Lungo has just been renamed Stockholm Fortissimo Lungo, it’s the same blend.
Have you tried Tokyo Vivalto Lungo?

The Nespresso site isn’t great I know, but it states more stock of Vivalto lungo is on its way.

Thought the non-machine subscriptions gave 10% off your orders ? I don't drink enough for it to be worth it you never bothered looking too closely (I did do the new machine for £1 with a year subscription).

Hi all,

I've had a delonghi Bean to Cup machine for around 18 months or so. It's certainly had its use and I've enjoyed it but I find it a little inconsistent and a bit of a faff. The grinder is probably the weak point in the machine.

I had thought about nespresso in the past but when we moved in with GF's parents a few years ago to save for a house, I couldn't stand coffee from their expensive kitchen aid nespresso machine.

My mums just been given a little Magimix machine from her neighbour. I tried it out with some cheap Aldi pods she had bought, used the 'big cup' button, added a bit of milk and sugar and the coffee was fantastic. I rinsed her for a few more coffees before I went home and now I quite fancy getting shot of my bulky B2C and getting a nespresso machine. Not sure why I didn't get on with the in laws machine, maybe it was just the pods they had?

I was thinking of the Sage jobby with auto frother as my mate has a sage barista and it's been great (also would look good in the kitchen). I like a longer milky coffee from time to time so definitely want milk thingy.

My question is, is this machine worth the premium over similar you can get for half the money?
