That recipe looks lovely but I think the mandolin is a bit of overkill. A cheese grater would do the job.

I used mine without the guard, only the once, that is all it takes to realise just how bloody sharp it is. Took the end off my thump and would not stop bleeding for 3 days.

That's what I admire about Chefsteps. They make simple things to the highest possible standard. Sure, a grater does the job just fine, but this takes it a step beyond.

I wish I lived in Seattle so I could access their creations.

Ah, I walked past them Saturday week ago - there is a really good spice shop next door, which also has a small but really good range of cook books.

Almost local! I spend half my time there for work, I spend a lot of time eating my way around the city on expenses, and usually stay local to there. There is a really exciting food and drink scene there.
