anyone had a go on the new hendricks orbium yet?
I’d live a bottle but reading articles it appears it’s only bars that have been supplied so far with only 4,000 bottles I’m not sure it will be available for purchase?

The Tinker is my new favourite.
Picked up the summer edition of Lidl's Hortis earlier. I haven't drunk enough to review it yet.

A new one for the collection, it's amazing mixed with ginger ale as recommended by the distillery.

thanks for the latest recos - think I'll order some Tarquin''s and some Haworth Rhubarb.

I went to a 'tasting' here last week:

https://puddingstonedistillery.com/

Their standard/regular 'Campfire' gin is really good smile

Ok, limited choice due to reasons, but which of the following:

Brecon Botanical
Thomas Dakin
Sipsmith London
Caorunn

Would you choose?

Current collection is Opihir (which is very cheap here), Whitley Neil and Four Pillars (both negroni spice and original).

Not tried the Brecon.

The other three are all excellent gins I like, but none of them is particularly distinctive. So whichever is the best buy.

Anyone else tried the Aldi Gin after it won that award last week?

Bought a bottle and was really impressed, most liken it to Tanqueray No 10.

If you can get hold of the Four Pillars Bloody Shiraz it's worth a try. I can't help you with your limited choices I'm sure I've tried a couple of the above but don't recall them!

Who's dabbled with Aldi's Oliver Cromwell gin then? I've had 2 70cl bottles now and have to say I've enjoyed it just as much as Greenalls, Gordons etc. Oh and they're a tenner too.

Somehow missed this lol. Yes, perfectly nice to my palette and surely one of best value choices available.

I do like Whitley Neill, but am loving this. My sister brought it across from S.A and the taste is amazing - too nice for a mixer, so I have it neat and sip it slowly, like a nice whisky smile

I now have about half a dozen favourites, and can usually find one of them on offer.

Currently on Bloom. Was on Ophir. Sometimes Hendricks. A few others are snapped up if on offer, but while the supermarkets are getting better at carrying the good stuff, they tend not to stock the more interesting guns that are a bit marmite.

I tidied up my Gin shelf.
I have 47, need to get them to 50 before the year is out.

The wife said I have a problem. I did point out that Gin was a solution not a problem.
