Bought these in my local Co-Op last week for the bargain price of £17.42 each (I didn't need to buy two for the price, I bought one for a present).
Saw them for £26 in Sainsbury's next day.

Just bought a Gin Festival box for Christmas - looks good.

Slightly suprised not to have seen any mentions so far for the Whitley Neil Quince Gin.

Very nice to sip neat alongside a cheese plate. cloud9

Anyone know why all the good own brand tonics have been discontinued? Tesco finest/Sainsos ttd etc. Seems strange with increased popularity and as a result, scale?

How many on here are Craft Gin Club members and do you feel it's good value for money and worth doing?

I'm far from wealthy so would be bi-monthy and still feel it's quite a commitment. But it'll be an Xmas treat (for a few boxes at least) and I do like the idea of fine gins just appearing on my doorstep.

Someone talk me into or out of it!
We were members for a year, bi-monthly like you.

I'd say it's worth the money for a year. The boxes you get provide more than £40 worth of value. Obviously the gin you get won't always be to your taste, but that's the point of a surprise, right?

I'd say that from the six boxes we had three beautiful gins, one which was actually not very nice (tasted of five spice) and two which were something and nothing. However, our very first box was Four Pillars, and I still think that's the nicest gin I've ever tasted - and I'd be completely unaware of it without the club.

Worth a go I'd say. It's a lovely gift to receive.

It’s the navy strength I think.

The one with the red wax is the Seadog Navy Strength (my favourite to be fair) and the other is a blackcurrent gin.

Crossover post from the Aldi thread...

Trying the French Aldi Gin tonight. No cats allowed since I’m now a Balloon glass down after last night frown

Stopped in Lidl after work for a few bits and picked up a bottle of the Rhubarb and Ginger Gin 50cl at £11.99 but put it back when I realised it’s a 20% Liqueur.

Anyone tried this? Still debating a purchase at some point.

I have a lot of gins in the house some I recommend.

Boatyard gin. This distillery from Fermanagh make their own neutral spirit it is not imported. Amazing taste.

Boatyard old Tom gin. Great with ginger ale.

Berthas revenge. Very unique taste. Not to everyone's but give it a go.

Glendalough. Changes with the seasons and what ingredients they can pick.

Malfy gin. Great on a hot day.

Gunpowder. Expensive but amazing taste.
This distillery also makes another gin called van Halen or something but I have never tried it.

I have some of the Edinburgh Gin Rhubarb and Ginger - also 20%. Let's face it, it's not really gin - but it is absolutely lovely, either with tonic or neat.
