Good god - why have I never thought of putting doner meat on a burger before ...
That with some red cabbage and burger sauce ..... maybe make it a half pounder as well
Or a 3/4lb with layers of doner between each burger perhaps? A on favourite from my archives... That with some red cabbage and burger sauce ..... maybe make it a half pounder as well

(all shown pre chilli sauce)
The diet version 1/2lb one just didn't feel dirty enough.
I wonder, has anyone signed up for the KFC open kitchen thing? (they basically invite you in the back to make chicken).

Large donor on naan. Freshly carved and crispy with lashings of chilli sauce on a fluffy, freshly baked naan. Chilli, yoghurt/mint and "white sauce" on the side. Leeds Road Fisheries in Bradford. 10 times better than anywhere in Leeds and they're not tight with the chilli sauce. No charging 50p for a teaspoon of chilli sauce served in a petri dish for the lads at LRF
Holy st someone else on here has been to Leeds Road Fisheries!
I've spent way too much money and gained a few too many kilos by eating in there. Started in 1999 and been a regular ever since. Sadly the quality has declined a bit over the years, mainly with the fish and chips.
I was there a few nights ago, had a cold/flu so tried my usual trick of burning it off with a kebab.
Masala fish in naan (fish 'bab). Chips were purchased from further up the road at Mother Hubbards. As always it looks like a car crash after the 15 min drive home but it tasted spot on. The trio of sauces soak into the naan and taste glorious.

The Masala fish is exceptional. Have you tried the mixed grill?

Not had the mixed grill from there in a while. I tend to alternate between the masala fish in naan and the chicken donner in naan. Edited by Brenda65 on Saturday 6th May 02:26

the large mixed kebab from leeds road fisheries is a thing of filthy beauty. 10 minutes drive or so from me as i am in Bramley. i do realy recommend the cho chol kebab though from La bella by the co op on the swinnow lane / swinnow road crossroads. thats the very best and largest bab ive ever had. fantastic made in house chilli sauce....no cost for a decent tub and fresh naans. the bab has elephant leg, tandoori chicken cubes ( big pieces) flame grilled chicken breast and flame grilled lamb, its a beast. and only about 7 quid for 2 days worth of filth.

I want to get the mixed grill but don't know what it is. I've seen that fella there at the hot plate frying onions, chopping chicken and pouring sauceevilmunkey said:

Had a large donor from there and it was poor. Found the meat was far too greasy, pale and steamed and it ruined the pitta. Also wasn't the best quality meat, it was kind of hammy. The chilli sauce was tiny when I went and they barely half filled the pot. You'd need at least 7 of their portions to properly dress a large donor in the fashion of LRF and it wasn't even a particularly tasty or hot chilli sauce.
