Which raises an important question... can it be healthy(ish) AND dirty/filthy? Are they mutually exclusive?

I thinking a grilled chicken or lamb kebab (done as chunks of meat, not a doner) could be filthyish with the right sides but still vaguely healthy?

(Off topic for obvious reasons as I fear i may be burned as a heretic)

A nice kebab can be very healthy and taste nice.
Grilled Meat, salad, flat bread and a bit of sauce - what's wrong with that?

Not sure a 'nicer' kebab can ever be dirty though. Needs a bit of grease riddled donner for that, at the very least.

Nothing. I do chicken doner at home; boneless chicken thighs marinated in spices and yogurt, speared then cooked on the BBQ (Grilling works too). Loose the bread if you're low carb/GF, Serve with Salad and other healthy stuff.

If you clean your surfaces with raw chicken and never wash your faeces-covered hands you can grill all you want, you're still making filth.

Yet if you run a takeaway you can get away with all of the above and hide behind a well-designed menu and a Just Eat account.

Holy takeaway, I want this in my mouth... chicken parm pizza, which is pizza with a chicken base. Not overly dirty, but I want it

I'm back in England for the first time in 14 years and working through my list of foods. Tell me this is a shop weirdness and not me - ordered a large doner with chili sauce and received this:

This is what I understand as a kebab plate. What should I have ordered to get the traditional badly packed kebab?

There isn't anything specific. some places just choose to package kebabs differently. My local wraps it up seperately in paper. I like mine with the donner placed inside the pita so that the pita can start to soak up the juice. It's abit odd that they didn't do that with yours especially as they clearly cut a slit into the pita for it.

Thanks. I'll be forced to try another from somewhere else then. Back in Aus a kebab is a tightly wrapped roll, which is great, but I was wanting the messy kebab of old.

I've never tried the chinese munchy boxes. Are they not called something like salt and chilli munchy box?
There's a clue in the title on the salt content?

I'm too scared to try one after my small chinese snack last week. Trying to sleep with your heart rate going at 150bpm wasn't a pleasant experience.
