Was out with my lad last night so stopped for a late night kebab on the way home.
Rusholme Chippy was full so went to Afghan Cuisine about 100 yards down the road.

Double kobedah and nan. The meat was lovely as was the nan. Salad an afterthought and sauces not as nice as the Chippy.

Plus you get a plate.

Worth a try.
Oh my.

Want.

It's worth a detour.

Does lamb chops, chicken on/off bone, a nice looking chicken and rice dish but the Kobedah always calls me.

Two places on the curry mile within a hundred yards or so with a similar menu, one very much a Chippy with a few chairs, one a bit more like a cafe Restaurant. The Chippy was dishing up the same stuff when I lived there in the 1980s!

Then finish the night off with a shisha pipe if that is your thing.

Anyone who lives/works around the South Quays (london) area know of any fast food takeaway places to pop to for lunch?

My closest places are pret, co-op, subway, wrap it up!, lemongrass kitchen. I haven't been to the last two yet.

more interested in a fried chicken place. a colleague did tell me there was one within a 10min walk but wasn't very specific on where.

hmm, I've noticed that one too. both of them 0.7miles away or a 15min walk in each direction, there's another called bite house but it's a mile away so 20min. I guess I'll have to get used to walking quicker if I want to eat it during 1hour lunch break!

I don't mean to sound like a nag but FFS guys, if you're going to quote a post that's got several photos at least say more then one short sentence. Is it so hard to just say something like 'that double down..' in a message saying 'looks great'?

To me it just looks like they forgot to add the bun...

That's not going to stop me having a go on one obviously.

I believe this is the performance version of the normal filet. The CSL so to speak.

I for one am buying a couple and putting them in storage.
