Part of the ritual of coming back to the UK and seeing the in laws in Nottingham is a stop off in the taxi to pick up a special kebab - donner, shish, chicken tikka and “steak”. I’ve not lived in Nottingham for over 10 years, but they still do a mean kebab and I’m sure the price hasn’t changed from £7.50 in that time either.

Didn't mean to cause issue with my dirty burger on the dirty takeaway thread!

£11 is a little madness, but it filled a burger shaped hole and I find them infinity better than 'fast(er) food'

The issue I have with Five Guys is the foil wrap, just makes the bun go soggy.

No one likes soggy buns.

never had soggy baps eat they while they're hot, that's what my dad taught me.

When you get to my age a couple of soggy baps is a rare treat.

God you lot. Sometimes, I can't tell if some of the filth here is pre or post digestion. But a soggy bap appears (it wasn't btw) and you lot recoil in shock.

It's fking bread.

Where did you get this delicious looking morsel from?
We usually go to City Kebab house, at my former Notts Alumni's insistence, btu I fear they are tasting Nostalgia and not the crud I get served.

Oasis on Bath St by Sneinton market. It looks a little dry on the photo, but it wasn’t. The donner meat even tastes good sober!

It is. But do we really care about bun texture/density/soggy factor?

Morrisons have done a few stunts this year haven't they?

There was the big steak and theres been a huge burger and then the big sausage roll. Now this. It's like somebody at Morrisions has just discovered Man v Food.

Then again the fact we're discussing it means it has achieved its aim.
You forgot the foot long sausage

I think this is worthy of being here.

24hr live stream of a doner being cooked. (not truely sure if it's 24/7 though). unfortunately it's not in the UK as they can't spell doner properly.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfhkvQFjwUg

I think it would be good marketing if someone actually did that in the UK.
