Fair point - but in my defence it's a kebab shop with formica tables.

My wife won't eat in at Rusholme Chippy as it's too cold

My wife won’t set foot in the place as ‘it looks like sthole’. I think it’s fantastic!

Are you eating that out of the lid of a glass casserole dish?

why not? makes sense. didnt the former gallardoguy eat out of a huge sharing plate? I know in my youth I'd sometimes eat out of a large flat glass quiche plate. In my uni days I'd make a pot of chili and just eat out the pot until i was full! then let it cool and throw it into the fridge.

I would say it was the dish, rather than the lid.

Looks good.

It is the dish I don't have a bowl that can hold three containers of chinese and my plates are too small.

So, first takeaway filth of 2018.

I don't usually buy chinese takeaway. Regular viewers will recall most of my takeaways come from the kebab shop. So I dunno what happened, I got a rush of blood to the head and decided to go chinese. Perusing the menu I spotted our good friend the munchy box. So it had to be done. With hindsight the lack of detail should have been a concern. The menu had just the one line - MUNCHY BOX - no detail on the content.

So arriving home I open my box of delights

Regular items from the menu so far, chicken balls, chips, curry sauce, ribs, spring rolls.
And then I dig a bit deeper, what's this hiding under the chips?

3 sausages ! laugh

It was pretty grim and really crap value for money.
So 1/10 for the chinese munchy box. The 1 was for making me laugh so much cos they put sausages in it.

What are the battered things on the top left?

Agreed it does not look good, too many chips to meat ratio.

I expected balls to be round. They look like corn dogs the Americans eat.

Probably but I doubt I'd enjoy it, I'd be bored half way through and I'd feel guilty and ill afterwards. Seems expensive for a lot of chips too.

The Chinese do eat sausages and there are many varieties. They are especially popular in southern China and feature quite often in sticky rice dishes. Those ones look like cheap bangers you would get at a greasy spoon though

They look like mixed grill specials from the English section of the menu.

I've just had a 1/2lb cheeseburger with doner meat and hot sauce, very nice indeed.

why would you want to? it looks like it's going to taste like crap.

- chips not seasoned
- doner meat that looks cold and dry
- cheese isn't melted
- cheese and doner meat, yuck!

Which is partly why I asked.

Not my cup of tea but I'm sure some of the eaters on here would happily eat it with the correct sauce etc.

On a side note, has anyone tried one of these? It's absolutely lethal yikes

Not yet.
Yeah I've tried it, now I'm used to a hot curry, always have a Phall or Vindaloo. Not bacuse I'm well 'ard but bacause a decent Indian can make even hot food taste nice thumbup

That Morrison's stuff though, that was just pure heat and didn't taste very nice either, I was disappointed.

I've tried this as well and found the taste vile, I like heat in my curry but I also like flavour.

Up in Carlisle tomorrow for one night with work.

Any recommendations for purveyors of filth? Pizza/burger preferably.
