East z east is alright but it's no better than Swadesh or any number of other city centre curry houses.
Swadesh recently got shut down for a couple of days for being incredibly dirty, I know people who got sick there after eating. This has put me off tbh.I don't rate many places in the city other than east z and asha's tbh
on the curry mile I rate Punjab and mughli

Ambuletz - where abouts is that from in London ? Looks bloody fantastic !!!
a local in east london. nothing special tbh. i wanted a chicken doner but they said they didn't have enough to make a large one so i asked for a mixed one instead. I think they went abit overboard as I don't think they put that much in a mixed. oddly there was more chicken then lamb doner. I'm definately going to start going near to closing time as they give you tons, sometimes a freebie battered sausage. The mexican ordered was so disappointing i dont want to talk about it.
Just eat and An Noor in Aberdeen have redeemed themselves magnficently tonight:
The 'king' munchie box.
A shovel load of good bab shop chips, what appears to be a whole leg of standard doner. Some lovely charred chicken. Few pakoras, few chicken tenders and a load of garlic and chilli sauce.
Salad served seperately.
All for £15.90 with a can of diet coke.
Delivered in 25 minutes.
And my girlfriend has just broken it to me she does not like donner meat. Time to get rid of earliers KFC to make some room for what will no doubt be a titanic effort.
Wish me luck.

What did you think? I’m not a great fan although the chicken burgers are nice I think the fries just taste like frozen chips. Not a patch on five guys chips wise I had my first five guys a couple of weeks ago, it was alright. Not £25 for two burgers, chips and soft drinks good but alright.
The burgers didn't have a great texture but the chips were good. Can't see me going back unless I'm stuck somewhere with not much choice. Which is why I went to that one tbh, was at Braehead and wanted something quick.

Five Guys. What's with the hype? Average, but nothing special. The burger wrapped in foily paper is as limp as a Maccys one. OK you have a choice of toppings. Spent £54 for the four of us. That makes it poor value. I could take 4 of us in a restaurant for that price and have burgers on a plate that taste the same. Only redeeming feature are the skin on fries/chips which are good.
The fries are the reason to go to Five Guys. The burgers are average at best with the buns being horrible and doughy and everything gets sweaty unless you get it out of the foil immediately. Doesn’t matter what toppings you order because they are all cooked on the same flat grille so everything tastes the same and no choice of types of cheese.

not sure what I'm going to order. How do their burgers compare in size to the likes of BK/McDs? not sure if maybe I should get 1 or 2, or perhaps a hotdog aswell. are the shakes worthit? i do enjoy a McDs vanilla milkeshake (when they've run out of syrup and just give you the shake), i wouldn't mind getting a pint or 2 though. I figure i'll eat very little in the day and pig out when i get there.
Do they cook them medium rare if you ask?
IIRC the burgers weren't massive like a Burger King XL one. They are standard size, you can ask for it to be cooked as you wish, and add as many or as few toppings as you wish included in the price. Drink was large and probably refillable as there is a machine you go up to (maybe not milkshakes). Fries we made a mistake on and order 2 large fries which was too much for 4 of us.

Are you talking about Five Guys or Shake Shack? the reply below yours appears to be about Five Guys although I have to say I have never seen anyone be able to say how they like their burger cooked. Five guys burgers are cooked through.not sure what I'm going to order. A standard Five guys is a double patty so ordering two isn't needed with the amount of chips (get the spicy ones!!) they give you
For me, the perfect is just a double cheese with jalepenos and relish. YUM
