Mmm - spicy chips, wish our local Chinese did them.

I've never ordered chips from an indian or chinese takeaway, seems like an odd thing to eat with both cuisines. but that all does look good though.

on another note i did try the grand big mac. as others have said it's just a big mac but with the girth of a BigTasty. at £4,20 for a burger I'd rather just buy 3-4 freshly cooked double cheeseburgers. I maintain it's probably the best bang for your buck. and I'm a lover of the Bigtasty.

Once upon a time Dixys was the chicken shop of choice for many people but the rise of the local cheap chicken shop has put an end to that.

My preferred place does average fried chicken but rather decent grilled chicken. £3.50 for a piri burger meal or £5.50 foe a double. Bargain
Oh man thatt brought me back, to my youth, risking a good stabbing to make my way to dixy chicken in Leeds centre after a gut full of some all-you-can-drink-for-10 quid piss.

Never tried it sober but when slaughtered dixy's was the dogs danglies.

EDIT: place is still open!

what I miss most is hot wings that were actually HOT. i remember 10 years ago buying wings and me struggling to finish it because of the heat and it making my nose runny.

nowadays i love the heat and have a better tolerance for it but all these wings these days have no heat. you're lucky if you find an indie FC place that actually puts chillies in their wings.

I had this a few weeks ago. That skewer is around 40cm in length. I should have picked up the warning signs earlier - childrens trampoline play centre, one of the more exotic menu choices and that split second hesitation of every staff member who had something to do with the order. I think they must have had a different vat of fat for these things due to the tempura angle of the frying.

Anyway, to cut a long story short that clear stuff on the paper cooled to form something like a two millimetre thick layer of grease. While all this was going on I hadn't remembered that I don't have a gall bladder - it got removed about eighteen months ago. That usually doesn't present any problems to me like it can to others, but I have to say I hadn't quite tested the theory to this extreme. As for the results, well it shot through me like greased lightning.

The gall bladder is a store of bile, which is called upon to help metabolize fats in the stomach. Looks like it’s coated in something ? not quite the orange chips i’ve heard about from the midlands - but some form of light batter ?

decided I'd get a cheeky chicken burger after work. sometimes when i take it home i like to put extra mayo.

I was presented with this grim sight. probably last time i'll bother buying it from DIXY. never been so insulted! (yes there was a miniscule amount of lettuce underneath too)
now that encapsulates the origins of this thread perfectly. grim.
Very grim. After a skinfull you'd eat it, but sober after work scratchchin, probably nono.

Yes, it's supposedly tempura batter. I have my doubts as that would turn out whiter I think it has some extra stuff in the batter, giving that much more yellow colour.

You'd buy 3 double cheeseburgers and it would cost you extra, doubles are £1.49, single cheeseburgers are 99p. My McD meal of choice is a large Big Mac meal with a side double cheeseburger, I wouldn't bother with the drink but it is no cheaper to buy the individual components and fries.

Looking at the menu for my local Chinese and Indian and chips are not on there. Don't think I have ever seen chips in a Chinese and Indian restaurant.
