Had plenty of boiled ones in my Essex days (Leigh cockle sheds, with vinegar and white pepper).

Regards the batterd cockles,I’ve bought a cheap frier and the wife goes to Cardiff market to get cockles,trying different batters ,chilli,garlic ,fk it the worlds your oyster,had a salt a vinegar seasoning in the flour yesterday,

I has the most awful nights sleep and at 3.00am needed an enormous dump.....

I drank about 4 pints of water overnight and still woke up thirsty.
