darn sarf innit.
Not in keeping with the thread, but having lived in South London all my life, I’ve NEVER heard anyone pronounce South as Sarf, Souf, I hear, or Sowf, but never EVER Sarf.Chippy..... pizza.... round here we burn people at the stake for that kind of talk.
(footnote.. a few weeks ago I was in the local and someone ordered smoked sausage. You could hear the intake of breath and the mumblings in the background. Another fella, a mechanic I see in there quite often looked at me and rolled his eyes and I gave him the slow nod in return. Bloody softies bla bla… aaaaannnnyway, few days ago I was in there and it was empty, being a warm day and all and I whispered to the old girl on the till,,,, you got any of that smoked sausage... it was bloody amazing.)

I don't know if it's just a Scottish thing but up here you won't find many pizzas better than a decent Italian chippy made one.
Also smoked sausage suppers are great. Leaves you with the same salty greasy feelings as a dirty chinese takeaway but sometimes it's what you need .
Aye I'm based in Edinburgh cannot beat a chippy pizza... definitely a Scottish thingAlso smoked sausage suppers are great. Leaves you with the same salty greasy feelings as a dirty chinese takeaway but sometimes it's what you need .

Have you had one from Anima? It's attached to L'Alba Doro on Henderson Row, best pizza in Edinburgh when I lived there. I still get spam mail from them (well probably not anymore) and it makes me homesick .
aye I work about 400 yards away from it mate so spend far too many lunches there mate 4.99 for any 2 topping 10 inch pizza or calzone and a can of juice.... rude not too..I know it’s against the spirit of the rules but bugger, had a drive up to Bakewell last week as the girlfriend wanted a Bakewell tart or 3... seemed rude not to have a pub lunch while there. I highly recommend The Wheatsheaf if ever you’re there... £17 including a pint of Warsteiner but god it was good!
