I fail to see the point in a kebab without sauce and chips!

That reminds me, had yet another takeaway leaflet posted through the door today. Another reminder of the price divide between the glorious north and overpriced south -

Flames Leeds has a King Kebab on offer:

Following a very long day at work and the Mrs being out I couldn't be arsed to cook.

Usual place is shut so tried a random one, got this little lot for £7.00

Chicken was good, chilli sauce very good, doner was a bit meh, qty good as I couldn't finish it.

Overall a solid 7 out of 10.

Looks good. Extra marks for a decent hand made naan and chippy chips.

Naan was alright to be fair, doesn't look like there was much meat in the pic but it certainly had enough it it. I was handed the bag and it felt like they'd put a house brick in it. I could have done without the chips to be fair!

My guess is that it's going to look awesome. I'd be worried about the halloumi going a bit firm/squeeky though.

Good value for £20. We polished off a wrap each. Half of the starter and about 3 of the garlic bread slices. The rest fo lunch tomorrow.

I presume they're not TOO healthy, but I love stuffed vine leaves. Used to make them with minced lamb and rice, a proper Greek "spring roll".

Giblet - seem to recall you saying that you know somewhere that sells Donner meat by the 'bucket' or similar? Where in the Leeds area might somebody get hold of this sort of thing?

Asking for a friend.....

My (now former) boss also owns Istanbul Doner who sell it precooked in buckets. I believe Venus in Holbeck stock it, first aisle as you walk in, towards the back left near the meat counter.

Perfect excuse to stop in for a fresh kebab whilst picking up a bucket!
