I’m in Broadgreen Hospital in Liverpool. I’m hoping to escape home tomorrow or the day after, just as soon as the hospital can organise the community team to come and give me my daily IV antibiotics, or get me into the local hospital to get them. For six weeks... which of course, means six more weeks of no booze!

As I said on the “Picture of your dinner” thread, the staff are absolute superstars. We are lucky to have the NHS. It’s by no means perfect and I’ve had a fair few issues, but on the whole, the majority of the staff really do want to make a difference and within the constraints they work under, they manage it most of the time.

I would double their wages, frankly - and happily pay more tax to do so.

I’m hoping to escape home in the next few days. I may have to order some filth. I’ve lost 8 kilos in two weeks. 350 grams of that was the gunge they drained from a fairly hideous infection in my leg. It made CSV look appealing.

Aha not work for a change, luckily. Someone crashed into the side of my fairly new car and somehow managed to drive off, despite leaving my driver side doors inoperable. I can only presume it was a tank, or that Range Rover Sports really do have poor build quality This woe was compounded by the my missus announcing the in laws are inbound tomorrow for an indefinite visit

No pics as I was too hungry but hopped across the Pennines for a gig so decided a pitstop at Rusholme Chippy was in order. Top notch as always despite the tosspot in the hired C63 driving past every 2 mins revving the hell out of it.

It's just chicken curry and chips from a well known establishment in Cardiff. Battered sausage chaser (well, the end of a battered sausage chaser). I then went in for seconds.

Google will show it's a very popular local 'delicacy' ( https://twitter.com/BowenBBC/status/40180058964835... , TripAdvisor too etc etc). If you're ever in the area, try it.

A mixture... I always get a pot of the house chilli sauce as it's delicious, another pot of BBQ sauce (I know this divides opinion) and also a tub of IKEA ketchup from my very own fridge. I usually make 3 wraps and pick at the meat night 1, and then finish the rest off night 2 but due to the M25 and M23 being as bad as they could be tonight, I'm only just back from the pub with the outlaws after picking them up, meaning I may have to bin my leftovers It has been a tough few days.

Half Bajis ,popadoms,franks sauce from other sources and misses chicken curry
