The salt and pepper chips were very good and hot too (as in temperature). The chicken pieces were pretty bland, whereas the usual bone in chicken wings are much better. Normally I’d have scoffed the lot, prawn crackers included. I managed the chips, the Vimto and one portion of chicken. I’m eating nowhere near what I used to eat, which is no doubt a good thing. I lost another 8 kilos on my last hospital stay, down from 123 to 115. I’m still a fat knacker though.

I’m sure I must get extra DTA points for including crutch, dog and eating from a tray on the bed, direct from the cartons? The dish was in anticipation of having bones to discard, so wasn’t needed. And I had to wheel the whole lot around the flat on my trolley, à la Mrs Overall from Acorn Antiques.

It was average, but I’ve scratched the DTA for a good while now.

It’s arrived, although the chicken “wings” appear to be chicken “pieces”. Ho hum.

Expectant dog anticipating prawn crackers (gratis) in the background.

That looks pretty monotone for my tastes biggrin

Extra points added for the dog though.

I have, little triangular parcels of filo pastry with a spicy meaty filling. A portion of them usually has about 8 of them with a little pot of dip.

Exactly this.

Very average. Greasy, underfilled and little flavour.

There’s a place in Blackburn (confusingly known as the Manchester Sweet Centre), which does the best samosas I’ve ever eaten. They are huge and cost the princely sum of 50p each, meat or vegetarian. There is always a queue out of the door and if you time it right and get a warm one, they are sublime.

A local place is excitedly promoting this "Scottish
-style munchie box" for £7. To me it looks utterly grim.

Here's the latest munchy box offering from a place near me. This place was one of the first I saw selling munchy boxes years ago. They still do the usual ones but obviously felt it was time to offer up something new.

They also now do a curry munchy box. It's not anything new or groundbreaking - just 2 or 3 regular curries from the menu - other than it's delivered in a pizza box. They've obviously realised the locals won't buy anything now unless it's served in a pizza box yumhehe

No, i didn't buy it. Just pics from their facebook page.

Do you want to see a pic of the curry munchy box ?
