TBH when I visit my local takeaway for my fill of filth I just pile all of the change I have left over from the pub and say give me what you can for that.

After a bit of banter I usually feel I have come out on top. I very much doubt it though.

No, it's normal and with the way things are going they will carry on going up. Ingredients, especially meat and veg, go up weekly. Profit margins are not as high as you would think unless it's a dirty dirty takeaway with cheap and crap ingredients.

Also a lot of takeaways have had no choice but join deliveroo and ubereats which charge 35% commision ex VAT on every order alongside JustEat which is 14% commission and to add insult to injury, you now have places like McDonalds, KFC etc also delivering.

Yep, due to the weak pound costs have increased. Everything is increasing in price because of it. Many things in supermarkets that used to be 2 for £2 are now 2 for £3.

Went to the boozer in the week for a cheeky couple of pints and the pub quiz. We decided to eat there.
They’ve stopped doing food.
With 30mins until quiz off, and with a pint already in front of me, what to do?

Inspired by this thread, the first kebab I’ve had for probably 2 years, and the first sober one for 10.

Bad photo, and it doesn’t make the grade because it was really bloody good. One lamb, one chicken. Both well marinaded, both correctly cooked. Fresh salad, and they made their own chilli sauce and ladled it on.

Big pile of beige chips for completeness.

Forgot to upload, turned up an hour late and warm, not bad, tasty but not great.

Local chippy is now doing a chicken munchy box for £12.

4 spicy wings, 20 chicken popcorn, 10 Chicken nuggets and a load of chips with salad.

No 'real life' photos yet, he's just started doing them so this is from the Facebook page.

ugh, i hate that wing piece, the breast attached to it is always super dry and tougher to eat. on rare occasions a breast piece on it's own is juicy, which is fine, but most of the time its just dry.

leg and thigh pieces for me always.
