Parmos, first from Middlesbrough. Breaded chicken escalope, add bechamel sauce, then cheese on top. Usually deep fried, served with chips and "salad", whatever that may be.
I make my own, generally oven baked rather than fried, I think it tastes better.

Sometimes though, only a takeaway version will hit the spot.

Down around York they use Pizza sauce (tomato and herbs) instead of bechamel on the Parmo's. Tastes much better IMO.

Made my own a few times and I agree whilst they are nice, they are just not the same.

They sell "Parmi's" in Walkabout bars - had one whilst watching the football a while back and it was pretty good. Definitely not the same as the Teeside take on it but I enjoyed it nonetheless https://www.walkaboutbars.co.uk/venues/reading/foo...

Found on the floor of a stolen ice cream van covered in strawberry sauce and hundreds and thousands.

advance warning, never try the all day breakfast wrap from co-op. £3. had this today, absolutely horrible, will never buy again. The WALLS cumberland sausage baguette is alright but is in desperate need of ketchup.
