Oh totally. Anything from McDonalds is dirt compared to the majesty that comes with The King. The Bacon King is sheer magnificence but have you tried the Steakhouse King yet? cloud9
I haven't. I'll give it a whirl. That's another 1100 calorie burger to try biggrin

In other BK news it seems McDonald's have lost exclusive rights to the Big Mac trademark. Burger King are having a bit of fun with it.

Our one has a sign saying you have to be in a car! Obviously been tried smile
I have seen a 3.14 lock opener try to get served in a horse & cart at Scarborough!
I've tried going through on my bike before and I think they have a pressure plate to activate the microphone, which a bike is too light to trigger. Stood there for ages wondering why they were ignoring me.

more and more of the big firms are going legit as everything is done by your app - the closest one to me has 1400 drivers. £70 quid a week depot rent. The owner was offered £1.5m if he got it up to 1500 drivers, by an English firm - but why would he bother? He's getting the guts of £100k a week, has a nice big estate "up in the hills", and could you even spend that much?
If you're talking about who I guess you are I think he spends it mostly on the contents of this thread. hehe

Not exactly a takeaway but a Chinese.

Three roast meats with pak choi on a bed of rice.

Since when?
Since at least 2008, when I worked for the big M for a few months, and know they use the same patties for both burgers.

Probably since before then, really.
Yeah that’s true I haven’t had a Big Mac for years and was thinking they had four burgers in them. My bad
They’ve always been the same patties in the Big Mac as standard burgers. I had the misfortune of working under the Golden Arches in the ‘80s, no doubles back then!

It's a fact that the Caloric content of a Big Mac has almost halved since at least 10-12 years ago. Not sure of the date but they used to be around 1k cals. Now under 600.

At a wild guess:

Leaner beef
Different cooking methods - someone mentioned steaming the meat?
Different bun recipes
Sauce that contains less fat
Smaller overall size

I'm not sure that's right, though it must depend on the comparison date:

and 2012

and 2005 (493 calories)

Well this kebab is a monster, I was astonished by the weight. 13" keema naan filled with chicken tikka, doner and fried onions. All for £6.60. Oh and 'they' seem to have broken the image uploading feature.

Irish stew with a pie lid and champ mash.....

Thought I would try something different. Unfortunately it was one of those meals that tasted quite nice but you just knew was going to give you the sts later

Thank you sir, it was very good indeed. It was a sad day when the restaurant closed down, it remained closed for a few years and then got redeveloped.

But, imagine my delight 5 years later when like a phoenix from the flames the owners reappeared with a new takeaway instead. cool
