No idea what you just saidWetherby Whaler = very good small chain of fish and chip shops (also took over the former Harry Ramsdens)
Outwood is near Wakefield.
Buttered scuffler - is a VERY regional word: "A scuffler is a word in Yorkshire dialect originating from the Castleford area meaning a large bread cake"
Empire... no idea

I'm going to make my missus a few buttered scufflers to take with her to work tomorrow, she's foreign so I am interested to see if she reacts when I tell her what they are
Just so you are accurate, "this bread is always baked in a roughly triangular shape and is similar to the Northern stottie, but lighter"So no plain buttered round baps/breadcakes. That would be misleading.

Just offered Mrs Jim a buttered scuffler and she said she's too old for that kind of thing.
She said I'm too old for that kind of thing too, which I thought was unnecessary (and incorrect).

You want the one further up the road, Tony's Fish and Chips. Far superior to the stuff served up at the former Empire. Or if you fancy chicken on your next trip oop north check out Marstons Chicken. Wetherby Whaler Outwood, Wakefield(former Empire) Buttered scuffler and a pot of curry sauce.
